Marijuana - Is it truly evil?

Not good for the younger minds but once it's not abused I think it's a wonderful drug. Nature put it there for a reason. :)

Reason, and reason again
I just don't like smoking. Inhaling smoke is toxic to your lungs, and the chemicals are toxic, which is what causes altered states of being. Do I abstain from all drugs? No. I take aspirin. I have a drink every now and again. But smoking isn't on my list of things I like. Now if you want to smoke, be my guest. Should it be illegal? Absolutely not. That's absurd. Look at what happened with the Prohibition.

I hate smoking anything too. The only times I'll smoke is when I'm at a hookah bar with friends, and even then I prefer getting drunk.

That's what wood brownies are for. ;)

I think marijuana is illegal because of the cost. I think the cost to grow a marijuana plant is similar to growing corn. I think the cost per plant of marijuana can get very low. I think at most each plant cost near 20 dollars to produce with soil. I think people try to get people to grow hydroponic when soil is what plant usually grow in. I think people charge near 3,000 dollars per pound near the place that i live. I think the cost per pound is near 20 dollars. I think a pound of marijuana is enough to smoke with a vaporizer months is a person was to smoke every day. I think people do not want people to use marijuana because people want other people to do there work. I think alcohol is extremely cheap compared to the cost of alcohol. I think ethanol is a form of alcohol that with few different steps could be drinkable alcohol and the united states government has been talking about charging few dollars per gallon. I think cigarettes in the new york area are a great example of a government charging prices to control usage. I think to control usage of marijuana they have made marijuana illegal. I think they actually put people in jail because they want to keep people working to fulfill the wants of the us government.

You don't have to smoke it though. Vaporizers are becoming more popular, and rather than inhaling the combusted product of the plant, you inhale pure, harmless vapors. And of course there are always brownies, cookies, and the potential for the greatest breakfast you will ever have.

The cost greatly varies. If you want to grow very high quality hydroponics and have the money to cough up for the electric bill due to high powered light bulbs, it can cost hundreds per month to grow depending on the size of the growing area. Or it could cost nothing more than a cheap light bulb and some basic hydro equipment, or just the cost of potting soil and plant food. Or of course if you look you can always find it for free growing out in the wild (although typically what you find in the wild would be more ideal for hemp-related products and has little-to-no recreational value).

I think i have used hydroponics to grow tomato plants. I think hydroponics is expensive, difficult to get the sources of plant food to the plants and i think plants grow diffirent in hydroponics because of the energy shift. I think hydroponics is in most circumstances not smart. I think hydroponic lettuce farms are different because of the use of assembly lines that are now easy to run compared to a soil assembly line production. I think if people make a soil assembly line to grow products that runs from a computer system that takes minimual care to run that people would have enough food growing within near 500 square feet to live from if they are vegan. I think i could lessen the size. I think hydroponics is a deverson from soil to try to get people to think they are getting better products at higher prices. I think soil is better and if a compost toilet and a composter is added then i think the length of time the soil will last is longer. I think hydroponics and not allowing the invention that i think i created to assembly line dirt plants stops people from becoming self seficant so the work force continues to work.

Greetings!

I am posting this because I have seen many Christian organizations that preach that Marijuana is evil.

So, what is your take on marijuana?

And if you believe ganja is bad for you, what are the bad aspects of it?

Jah Bless.

It's not evil but like any drug depending on the habits of the use and and the individuals suceptability to certain physical/mental problems is can be harmful to varying degrees.

I am curious. How do you think you have used a hydroponic system? And you can buy kits that are fairly inexpensive (30 dollars for a cheap one), and the resources can generally by found at most gardening stores. As for quality, hydroponic grown plants in general can produce very good quality.
As for keeping the soil fertile, it depends on many factors such as the types of plants being grown (tobacco is especially harsh on soil), and crop rotation is a technique that every farmer uses to help keep the soil fertile.

I think i have used hydroponics to grow tomatoes. I think hydroponic kits are usually near 500 dollars to grow 5 plants. I think space is a issue. I think re potting is easy compared to moving a hydroponic plant in clay. I think similar to gasoline costs of products depend on things outside the control of the consumer. I think dirt can be controlled by the individual. I think different plants want different conditions. I think nutrition can be controlled. i think checking soil can be done with a ph testser that cost near 8 dollars and is digital. I think if a person is growing indoors that composting in a barrel the plant parts that are not used, poop when needed, and soil that has been used makes proper growing soil. I think hydroponics do not have any thing better than dirt in home growing. I think hydroponics has a lead in massive indoor production because there is not any production line soil machines. I think people could not tell the difference between indoor hydroponic and indoor soil if the conditions were the same on everything else. I think everything else in the last sentence can be done easily.

The use of marijuana is not covered in the scriptures except as it applies to obeying the local authorities.

I hate ANYTHING that affects my mind, excepting of course my seeming addiction to hyperbaric Nitrogen. :D

do you abstain from sugar?

I know I've said this in the past, and has likely already been stated by someone else in this thread, but I think it's silly that cannabis is illegal while alcohol is not even though the latter is clearly more harmful and addicting than the former. Pot gets demonized by society while alcohol is heavily marketed and celebrated. It's blatant hypocrisy.

to me it's just like anything else...moderation is the key.
there are people who have addictive personalities, so it really isn't the pot, it's the person. making weed illegal isn't the cure for why a person is addicted to it...people use it because society is broken ultimately, people are broken...and then again, it's not exclusively used for that purpose either :cigar:

Exactly....and no one can know the degree of an "individuals suceptability to certain physical/mental problems" prior to the experimentation.

As said in a previous post...It is a game of biochemical Russian Roulette...many will smoke a great deal of pot for years and get away with it unharmed...some will be 'a few bong wonders' and end up with drug induced psychosis.

If you have worked in Psych Services and cared for such kids and/or talked to their parrents you would have to deem smoking dope an unacceptable risk.

Some people have ate fast food and died from health complications as a result. Also an unacceptable risk?

The thing is, all of the propaganda against marijuana over the past century has been nothing more than fear-mongering. If you look for it, you can find danger in anything! I find it fascinating how a society will single out one thing to make taboo, while finding another thing that is no better acceptable. A good example would be how the word fornicate is considered acceptable in english-speaking countries, but another word with exactly the same meaning is deemed offensive! These arbitrary taboos are actually rather silly.
