GURPS is a set of rules for role playing games (RPG). By running the table I would assume painted wolf was the game/dungeon master, or narrator.

I think alittle fantasy of life getting just alittle better is good. I like to go out on a smoke break during work, just to go outside and day dream about having a slightly better job making just alittle more money. It helps unwind from all the stress just abit.
Ah! thanks, that does mean something to me; I had a friend once who was very heavily 'into' that - but he took it to such an extreme that it almost began to be his reality.:(

Like anything some people can take it too far... games, religion, politics, posting on online forums..

Ultimately RPG's are a fun way for a goup of people to come together and tell a good story. :bounce

I perfer to be called 'god' and be offered sacrifices of chocolate brownies... :biglaugh:
just kidding... I don't go by a title, but the brownies are quite nice.

Just as long as you stay on the same planet.

My way of looking at self-delusion is accepting the defence mechanisms where they belong, and that may be different for different people. But the wear for all should be as well concern for understanding one's own purpose for the discussions in the long run.

How does knowledge itself get better for the conscience, ethical tension for the needs we are after, common sense of pride (good point; a fantasy may come out of PRIDE and then a self-delusion takes over) can be be made evident by the specific site's demand like this one, and the personally real:) one's you were brought into the interest for what you containing in an idea.

I believe this is for a rigorous person at this point. Most of us are on the religious debate site. But the other part of fantasy is of great value too.

Maybe someone else can explain that. A reflection on a good book, something one saw, and the fantasizing concerning very externality. There exists I believe a free release onto the World beyond one's own confines. The political left find imagination for how and who they've associated with; the political right find values for what they intently really do understand about the individuals in community.

Self-delusion may be a failure to catch one's fantasies concerning the World at large and stick to Them. :help:

in moderation, i think fantasy is ok.
Personally, I think that fantasy is a good thing - as long as it is kept in check. It can provide a much needed, though temporary, realease from an unpleasant situtation. As long as one can keep in mind what is real what is fabricated, then there shouldn't be an issue. It's when this line blurs that problems arise.
