Hello, Muslim here

Caladan

Agnostic Pantheist
You sound like an open-minded individual, i like that :) Judaism and Islam are one in the same but today alot of fake people take the identity of Jews and worship satan.. it's really sad.. and we have to stick together with christians as well because we know well the big guys are trying to take down all 3 of us!

Salams
I have no idea what you have just said.

Hi ^.^ My name is Caileigh and I'm a noob.

I reverted to Islam last year after having a huge awakening in my life, leaving all the bad things in my life (alcohol, drugs, dancing, you name it), cluing in to the reality of Allah and studying the Qur'an. I looked into Christianity and Bahai faith a bit while searching for the truth, but Islam had all the proof and answers for me. It also saved me from the destruction I was causing myself. My views growing up were mostly anti-christian, agnostic, and even athiestic for a period. Islam is not an "organized religion". It is not man-made. The miracles of the Qur'an are what made me open my eyes. Salams :)

I hope to meet many muslims and other friendly people here who are seeking knowledge :)

Hi,

I want to say congratulation to you for converting to Islam. It's really interesting to hear someone from Canada has converted to Islam by complete knowledge and awareness. Is it difficult for you to avoid most of the works you used to do like drinking,...). By the way, God bless you.

I have avoided drinking 100% since I became Muslim, and although sometimes the shaytan tries to attack me with memories of the past, i haven't given it. It's just not worth it. Are you muslim? Allah bless you as well

Yes I'm a Muslim. If it doesn't bother you, can you speak about the accident that reverted you to the Islam, because I think that would be really helpful for other people like you that are willing to convert to Islam. And also Do you wear Hijab, because I think the most difficult part of being a Muslim woman is that. What is your family attitude respect to your religion and Hijab?

You must have studied to select Islam. What group of Islam have you selected? Shiite or Sunni? Please don't tell me that you are just Muslim. Have you studied about the Shiite group of Muslims? what is your idea about them?:)

Well up until about a year and a half ago I was drinking and going out clubbing and not living life with a purpose.. Then slowly i just started feeling more guilty about it and feeling like I would have to answer to my deeds eventually.. it was just a feeling in my heart. Then I was contemplating life one day and the GOD feeling just overwhelmed me and I felt the presence of God in everything.. I decided it was time to find the truth and start living my life for God... I ended up watching a lot of videos on the net on mysteries of the world, theories, conspiracies etc, and I watched a documentary called The Arrivals... After watching that I felt woken up to reality and got really interested in Islam.. For about 6 months I studied Islam in my own free time and also Christianity and Baha'i a bit.. but Islam had all the proof and answers.. I finished reading the Qur'an and tried fasting a few weeks last Ramadan.. then I said shahada at the end of Ramadan.

I do wear hijab, I haven't had any problem with it except when I first started wearing it I was at work and all my co-workers looked at me and some asked but some just gave dirty looks.. but i didn't care. I'm a little worried about being too warm this summer but inshallah it will be ok.

My family has been pretty silent about it except for my mom who is really supportive and understanding. My dad is kindof ignorant of it behind my back. He acts fine to my face but then complains about it to my mom, and gets out anti-islam books from the library. Oh well inshallah they will understand better some day and if not then it's only Allah's will.

I am just Muslim. Allah has forbidden us to divide ourselves among the ummah.

I say this to you because I am really happy that Arrival series have had such a great influence on you. Do you know what does the arrival mean? Of course you know the apparent meaning but what about the exact meaning of that? Do you know It refers to arrival of Imam Mahdi (PBUH) who is the 12th generation of Prophet Mohammed and is the 12th imam of Shiite people. And also he is alive (for around 1400 years) and will arrive and perform the real justice in the world. I know it seems a little bit strange but in Holy Quran has been mentioned that Noah (First Olol Azm Prophet) was alive for around 2000 years.

You should believe in Mohammed (PBUH). He has named all the 12 Imams after him that has been mentioned in both Shiite and Sunni valid books. So look and see what group of Muslims are real followers of Mohammed (PBUH)?

Do you know that Mohammed (PBUH) in a place named Ghadir Khom had stated Imam Ali, the imam of Shiite group, as his true replacement and said (Anyone who I am his leader, After this Ali (PBUH) will be his leader) and all the Muslims shock hands with him. This event has been recorded in both valid books of Sunni and Shiite people.

Can you believe that Mohammed who really loved his nations, would leave his nation without leader? I will be glad to continue this discussion with you if you are willing.

Yes I believe Imam Mahdi and Isa PBUPT will be arriving along with dajjal. I know SHia means follower and Sunni means way of the prophet.. if we are all true Muslims then we are all sunni and shia because we will follow the prophet's footsteps and practice his ways. I do not believe in a political divide. I also don't believe in putting Ali or anyone for that matter above Allah and his last messenger. I also believe in the five pillars of Islam and that isn't going to change. I will follow the Qur'an as my true inspiration and not get dragged into a group who curses the companions of the Prophet. Shia follow different hadiths than sunnis. Both say their hadiths are the right ones. I follow Qur'an and hadith's witch i feel in my heart are true. As for the caliphate I believe that ALLAH almighty decreed everything that happened. Allah doesn't make mistakes. When shias and sunnis argue it is just constant back and forth... I like to play it safe and follow Allah's rules which he decreed for mankind .. Islam is easy, it's not supposed to be complicated. Every Shia I've met has tried to push me to their side and they get angry when you don't listen. This says something in it's own. I believe there is truth to both sides and we need to come together again as one ummah if we want to fight the system.

And I don't mean to offend you as a Shia brother.. I just don't agree with some of their practices.. not to say all shias practice the same though.

You know, I have a question for you. Consider somebody is sick and he has to go to a doctor. Actually, this is a reasonable idea to go to a professional who has been studying and working almost all of his career. Then suddenly, he thinks and says to himself: "Wow, why should I do that? I can cure myself by just studying some medicine books. Who needs a doctor?!!!" and then something happens that shouldn't have happened.

What is your idea about this? I really appreciate your braveness that you doubted for one instant that maybe Christianity is not my answer. Maybe my answer is somewhere else. But after that you just have decided that Ok.!! I'm totally right! I have passed the exam. Now because of my studying different books and specially holy Quran, I'm a professional and do not need advises from Olama people ( means Islam researchers) that have been working on Islam all of their lives.

I agree with you that Holy Quran has enough material about every aspect of our lives (Both lives). But if it didn't need any interpretation, why God sent a prophet? Why didn't just sent Holy Quran?!

You had said that Quran has so many different aspects that has not been known? So what do you say about the saying from the Prophet that ' I am science city and Ali is it's door. So everyone who wants to enter this city, has to enter through it's door' that has been said in both books of Sunni and Shiiat.

Is it possible for you to come back to that doubtful days of your life when you were trying to find the truth and think about the Prophet sayings that I mentioned before and now?

I never said I was a professional.. I just go with what my heart says.. I've only been muslim just under a year.. The fact that I became muslim happened because I followed my heart.. I know my purpose is to worship Allah alone.. I'm not really sure what you're getting at with the hadiths.. I do read hadiths. That's all I have to say

Ok. That's great that you say you have been Muslim for just one year. Don't you want to try to study more about different groups of Muslim people. We really respect our Sunni brothers and Sisters, as I have so many Sunni friends, but it doesn't make me to don't speak about true religion.

It's really great that you follow your heart, but do you think that's enough? Does our hearts can lead us to the final place God has made for us? Just answer this question. Among all of the followers of Islam, which group are more close to Prophet Mohammed in performance and life? or you think all of the groups are wrong?

This option could not be true, because God has promised to preserve the real Islam and Quran. (انا نحن نزلنا الذکر و انا له لحافظون). So one group should be acting on True manner. If you believe it is Shiite, God bless you. But if it is Sunny, I would be glad to speak about that from Hadiths.

Wow!! Jasem, this is not the proper place to try to convince anyone to join the Shi'a people.

You can start a thread in the Shi'a DIR and call people to this sect, as much as you want or in the debates section, if you wanted to start a debate about Sunni vs Shi'a.

Exactly my thoughts...
