Thanks for wishing Dave a Happy Birthday! I made him a cake from scratch (he requested) that was in my Joy of Cooking cookbook. It is called a Lightning Cake and has a vanilla flavor (My son doesn't like chocolate, which is pretty strange considering my "obsession" with chocolate).

If I were to post a Monty Python number, it would probably be the Lumberjack Song. That song cracks me up big time.

Yay! Does this mean breakfast/lunch/dinner is being made for you?!
Yep. My oldest, she's 18, already told she she was making me "breakfast in bed" tomorrow morning. More of a brunch in bed, really. Tonight, after making dinner, which I didn't expect either, she asked what I wanted for dinner tomorrow night becausei was not allowed near the stove.

I'm about to have lunch, and it's neither kosher, halal, nor vegan friendly, the way God intended lunches to be.
One of my friends calls himself a paravegetarian. It's like a vegetarian, but one step beyond: he'll eat vegetables and vegetarian animals, but no carnivores or omnivores. So he'll eat celery and cow, but not wolf or bear. :D

We've decided to name him Damian Edward Nixon.

I like Jack lol but Captain Jack sounds waay better lol
Two of my friends recently had a little boy. When she was pregnant with him, they were humming and hawing over names... I suggested "Buckshot". Her brother took a liking to the name and has decided that this is what he's going to call the kid.

My friend's mother, the baby's grandmother, wasn't impressed. She says that I'm not allowed to suggest baby names to anyone any more.
