real measurments ?

as you can see the information changes daily
and it indicates one thing = lies 2 conflicting datas cannot both be correct.

we know the japanese gov't has lied to/mislead its people
weve been told canada shut down its rad testing at the [alleged] highest danger levels in the air
we know from chernobyl that wales still has dangerous levels of rad in ground
we know if japan was seriously contaminated a mass exodus would result causing migration refugee crisis worldwide
we know the same of the west coast of america which Leuren Moret says should have beeen evacuated due to dangerous levels

Just now saw this thread....
As a Nuclear Pharmacy Technician by career:

I must laugh at ALL OF THIS!!!!!!!!!!! LOL!

It reminds me of the idiots who ran out to buy potassim iodide! They will eat it like candy, kill their thyroids... which is what they thought they were saving! LOL!:yes:

People are stupid! If you have any questions about radiation, you may ask me. I am happy to answer as I get more exporsure in a day than any of you will from Japan's issues! LOL!

It was on fire when I laid down on it.
Another nuclear plant in Japan has been shut down:

Japan to shut nuclear plant on quake fears | Reuters

No danger - no danger at all.

As for taking potassium iodide, it's not likely to "kill your thyroid" unless you take it in ridiculous doses (just about any other nutritional supplement taken in ridiculous dosages would be harmful also).

Of course, people should do their own research and/or ask their doctor to determine if they fall into a group which should not take potassium iodide supplements (for instance, pregnant women and infants, or those with thyroid disorders).

As with any other nutritional supplement "more" is not necessarily prudent or healthy.

Nor is believing everything that's spoonfed to us via the mainstream media.

blackout

Violet.
We're all dying anyway,
and it's not like any of us can change the system.

Some people listen to this one, some that one.
Some believe this, some that,
but we're all going down,
and we have no control over any of these bigger things anyway.
There are SO MANY things out there making us sick,
it's really a futile waste of time and effort
to try and sort through all of the misinformation and disinformation
in an attempt to beat illness and circumvent death a bit longer.
We live on a poluted and poisoned planet,
and there's really nothing you can do about it.
It's how our world, is ordered.

blackout

Violet.
I find fighting what you cannot change
to be... very exhausting,
and I truly need all my energy for other things.

I no longer listen to the news
or read reports or anything.
At one time I was just the opposite,
trying to get to the bottom of everything.
I'm much happier now.

Kathryn

It was on fire when I laid down on it.
Well, that's a valid enough position - after all, we are all responsible for our own level (or lack thereof) of personal joy and peace. If you're doing something which disturbs your own sense of balance - stop doing it.

To each his own.

Japan reactor leak 'serious setback'

Radioactive water pouring from troubled reactors is hindering efforts to bring the nuclear power plant under control.

Japan's crippled nuclear power plant has been damaged more severely than originally thought, officials said, a serious setback for efforts to stabilise the radiation-leaking complex, leaving the portion of the fuel rods still intact fully exposed.
Nuclear Industrial and Safety Agency officials said the new data indicates that it is likely that partially melted fuel had fallen to the bottom of the pressurised vessel that holds the reactor core together and possibly leaked down into the drywell soon after the March 11 quake and tsunami that struck Japan's northeastern coast.
Other fuel has slumped to the bottom of the pressure vessel and is thought to be covered in water.

The U.S. government has abandoned efforts to monitor elevated levels of radiation
that infiltrated the nation’s water and milk in the wake of a nuclear catastrophe in Japan. [...]
“I really am horrified,” said Daniel Hirsch, a nuclear policy lecturer at the University of California,
Santa Cruz. “It’s quite staggering and it seems to be part of the pattern of the EPA trying to make sure that there are no measurements that could cause people to be concerned.”

Heck - the difference in radiation exposure from living in a brick house instead of one made of wood is more - several times more - than the exposure that these people are getting from Fukushima.

I will not go gentle into that good night.
Indeed. Someone's got to stand up to those windmills!

I am not opposed to windmills. This one is in my parents' front yard.

I just have a very health skepticism of mass media and politicians. I dislike and disrespect most people in both industries.

Kathryn

It was on fire when I laid down on it.
You think that resisting the perpetual bull **** that politicians and the media spew at us on a daily basis is resisting a phantom? I say it's resisting something very, very real - and more sinister than even skeptics like me can truly grasp.

here is a nuclear expert giving straight talk on the danger of fukashima
in laymans terms

Fukushima - One Step Forward and Four Steps Back as Each Unit Challenged by New Problems
http://www.fairewinds.com/updates

Arnie Gundersen says Fukushima's gaseous and liquid releases continue unabated. With a meltdown at Unit 1, Unit 4 leaning and facing possible collapse, several units contaminating ground water, and area school children outside the exclusion zone receiving adult occupational radiation doses, the situation continues to worsen. TEPCO needs a cohesive plan and international support to protect against world-wide contamination.

Ground water with I-131 or Cs-157 is bad news, as for Americans: no worries still.... again, from a NUCLEAR pharmacy tech....

interesting ... you accept part of a nuclear experts data
yet he is one of many who said americas west coast should have been evacuated.

Fairewinds Associates, Inc

Seriously? They sound like one of our coporate idiots who sits in an office and knows nothing but numbers on paper! I get exposed to more radiation in a month than most people do in a lifetime!

Governments have "acceptable doses of radiation" for the PUBLIC and then for those of us who work with it. With all I know, have done, and do... nothing to fear from the Japan leaks in the USA! In Japan... I'd be worried about my kids...

CHERNOBYL.... no effect on USA, for local kids: devastating!
