Who's Your Favourite Superhero/Villain and Why?

I've read comics since I was a little kid and I still do, although my tastes have changed somewhat since then. But for as long as I can remember Batman has been my favourite superhero and here's why: Unlike most superheroes Batman isn't that super at all. He's a normal human being, granted with (way) above average financial resources, but still human, and he uses his brains as much as his brawn. Unlike, say Superman (to keep it in the DC universe), he can't fall back on juggling tanks or being invulnerable. If he gets shot in the head that's it.
Also, he has an excellent fashion sense... :D

So, what are your favourite superheroes/villains?
DC, Marvel, or any other universe you feel like picking from is fine, just remember to tell us why you like this particular superhero/villain.

Marvel for me and IRON MAN is my favorite since I was a teen. I've always been interested in science and reading this comic, they touched on science all the time since Tony Stark's suit was an advanced electronic wonder. Things like his "refractory coating" were mentioned and I wanted to learn about the process. Not to mention his weaponry was off the hook!

Dr. Strange! I have always found his comics a lot of fun! :)

And my second favorite (not technically a super-hero, but very nearly so):

To both: Revan.
On of the sithlords that you get to play with yourselves in knights of the old republic.
For this reason you could make him both evil and good... :p

My favorite superhero is the Incredible Hulk because the madder he gets the stronger he gets. If you beat him in a fight he's just going to keep coming back with more anger and strength until he finally defeats you.

My favorite villian is Apocalypse because he is an immortal, probably the most intelligent character I've ever read about, and his abilities are limitless.

My favorite hero has always been the Spider-man. I just love the whole concept of the character.
I am not so sure about my favorite villan, maybe Magneto. Magneto can take down easily the big character of x-men, Wolverine.

My runner up superhero is Doctor Who because he's very intelligent and finds his way out of any scenerio.

My runner up villian is Galactus because his technology is cold blooded.

Hiro Nakamura for his simple dedication to the hero's journey.
The Joker's clear-headed and transparent insanity lifts him above the other villains.
