Have you ever encountered those people who speak highly of the Bible, like so highly of it, that they call it by names such as "the living word"? They equate it to Jesus and say that the Bible itself is the second person of the Trinity. I've actually heard people say that!

Is this not book worship? When god says have no other gods, does this extend to a book he supposedly revealed?

Yeah, I have.

I find it kind of ironic that it's usually these people who call me an idol worshipper, too. :D

They are in good company. . .

Heb 5:12 -- "For the word of God is living and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword. . .it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart."

I've talked with even people who subscribe to KJO, and even they wouldn't say that.

I was flipping through TV channels one day and came across Pat Robertson on 700 Club. I kid you not, he held up his Bible and said he carries God with him wherever he goes.
