New Tattoo!

Hey everyone!

Sorry I've been MIA as of late, I've just been working extremely hard, both on the mag and at my other job (trying to save up for a trip to NY to check out a CBGBs benefit concert), so I've been quite busy. Hope you all haven't missed me too much



I finally got around to getting my Sally (from Nightmare Before Christmas) tattoo done, so I thought I'd pop by and share a pic with whoever's interested.



So here she is. The pic was taken two days after I got her done, so she's still a bit scabby in it, that's why she may look a bit discolored. She's on the back of my right arm:

And just because they go together, here's another pic of my Jack Skellington tattoo. He's on the back of my left arm:

We do miss you - nice tatoos BTW; sorry to hear you're having to work so hard.

Lovely tattoos! :jiggy: When I was younger and it first came out I begged my mom to take me to see it... I'll never forget the look of horror on her face.

Are you going to be around more, or did you just have time to pop in and show us that?

I remember when it first came out too Jensa. I was 12 and went to see it with a whole gang of my friends. I fell in love, lol. And now, 10 more days until Corpse Bride hits theatres here. I'm SO excited. I'm going to try and be around more. I'm still working just as much, but I've taken today and Thursday off, just because it's been SO insane for me. I work 5 days a week at the store, I try to work on the mag almost every day, I'm also doing a couple of correspondance courses with my university because I can't find the time to actually MAKE it to school, my son just started grade one, so I've been all hectic with him, PLUS, travelling here, there and everywhere else to see shows for the mag. In the past two weeks I've gone to 8 shows in Montreal as well as taking a quick trip to Toronto to check out a band readers have been begging me to interview. Phew. So you get the idea of the insanity of life right now, haha. But yeah, I'm definitely going to try harder to get on.

Robtex, I submitted one of my tattoos, the flames I have on my chest/ribs/right side, to BME magazine and they were published in it a few months ago. Other than that, I'm not sure if I'll submit Jack and Sally, I just fear that if I do, someone will steal them and get the exact same ones done. I really don't want that. Though I have been submitted, by my tattoo artist into, the full tattoo/full color and black/white/shading categories for this big international tattoo convention they have here every year in Montreal. He's won for his tattoos 3 times before, so here's hoping I get him a 4th and 5th first place award.

I think the Jack Skelling one is awesome. The artist that I was going to go too, because my brother is good friends with him and I could get a good quality tattoo for dirt cheap, got arrested, and when he got out, he promised his mother he would no longer do tattoos, so he doesn't go to jail again for being an unliscensed artist.

Certainly Quality work. The guy's a real artist with a needle.

I've got to admit... though I've wanted to very much, I've never gotten around to seeing "Nightmare". Is there something that attracts you to the character?

I almost had a heart attack at your admission of never having seen Nightmare, Feathers. I can't pinpoint one thing, at the moment, that attracts me to either character. I just LOVE the entire movie more than any other movie. It's such a great piece of work. You REALLY should see it!!

Oh, Feathers, it's the bestest movie ever...you have to hunt it down and watch it.
