to use the death of a 9-year-old for their own agenda...sociopaths to the core. i wish they didn't get the press time they get.

Westboro's theology, and practices are extremely hateful yet they are still beloved children of God. God's light within them has grown dim and their hearts closed off. I hope and pray that God cleanses them of hate and injustice. That they would be awakened to God's extravagant love and grace and the scandalous inclusion and ethic of Jesus. Lord, in your mercy hear our prayer.

Or to put it in a more secular or perhaps Buddhist way, I feel compassion for the WBC family, because they are only making themselves miserable dwelling in hate when they could be having a good time with the rest of us giving, receiving and accepting love.

What I am trying to point out is that when people have ANY type on dire belief in which they feel is appropriate and correct, they tend to (at times) take them into extreme and infringe on other people's freedoms. If this is an immature view, then I guess psychology is immature as well.

The statement I made fully has everything to do with the topic as well. Why would anyone with a sound state of mind find it appropriate to disturbe a child's funeral? There are much better and more constructive ways to make yourself beliefs heard.

Looks like the crisis was averted. My idea was that a few thousand Christians, atheists, Muslims, agnostics, Jews, Satanists and pagans stand silently and respectfully along the entire route, making it impossible for WBC to intrude in any way on the proceedings.
