I am very late to this conversation, but I would like to say (and I apologize if it has already been discussed):
If you stop advertising of McDonald's Happy Meals, then you would also have to stop advertising for any kind of snack food, cereal, frozen entree, etc aimed at children. But why stop there? Why don't we just stop advertising of anything that may be unhealthy for children and adults. Then we would have very, very few commercials and we could watch TV more enjoyably (I hate commercials interrupting my shows all the time, anyway).
