The Haiku Thread

"Trust -- in human kind."
Said the man at the airport
Would you really mind

Taking this for me
A present sealed in a box
To friends in Bali

I know that you would
With your trust in human kind
But I never could.

Your error is sad.
Being "trusting" is not the
same as "damn stupid".

Confusing the two
marks one as "neocon". I
trust you are smarter. ;)

Trust humanity
and work for good. Or trust "God"
and just pray for it.

I trust in my God
But I work for mankind too
And I pray for you.

The spirit in man
When it is finally born
Will be the Most High

He now is in you
But when He, "The Son of Man"
The Great Omega

At mankinds lifes end
You will be his living Past
He can visit you

For "Time" is but space
That separates He from You
This my friend is true

So as you can see
My trust in humanity
Is the "Son of Man."

He sits on the throne
The universal Godhead
He's your Son and mine.

I obviously can't
Write a Haiku worth any ****.
I should just give up.

You got that right mate
"I ob-vi-ous-ly cant (Six)"
But don't give up yet.

It only Haiku
Remember, in this forum
"dustin," is not you

"Do not walk in front of me, I may not follow. Do not walk behind me, I may not lead. But walk beside me, and be my friend."

Come freind, stand by me
And ride the waves of madness
On the surging sea

Surging seas of life
Come! Hear the children crying
Through troubles and strife

On the crests of waves
In the ocean formed of man
To where we began

We must all return
Fear not the shadows that swarm
In the depths that burn

On the farther shore
The wave will take us to He
Our friend and saviour............By S-word. I gotta put me name to the ones I like

I may not follow
So walk not in front of me
Nor walk behind me

For I may not lead
But should you walk beside me
You will be my friend.

Sunlight shines to ground
Down through Autumn's painted leaves
Cool wind blows along

Sunlight shines to ground
Down through Autumn's painted leaves
Cool wind blows along

Sunlight stikes the crown
Of the King upon his throne
But he's still asleep

Sunlight strikes his troops.
Awake, prepared for battle
But still the King sleeps

The battle begins
Their victory is complete
And now the king wakes

His troops triumphant
Though he slept through the battle
The credit he takes.

Hooray! Thread necromancy!

The First Cause Argument in Haiku:

All things need causes
Except for God, that is -
He exists uncaused

And a response:

First cause argument
An excellent example
Of special pleading

The Teleological Argument in Haiku:

Look at all this stuff
It's so spiffy and complex
God must have done it

And a response:

It's complex; so what?
This does not imply design
Who would design God?

The Ontological Argument in Haiku:

God is the greatest
If he exists, he's greater
Therefore God exists

And a response:

Concept and object
You have gotten them confused
Equivocation

And another response:

What does "greatest" mean?
More mass could be "greater", no?
Therefore your God's fat. :p

Comming together
through multiple divisions
seems impossible

What divides, conquers
consciously or otherwise
makes no difference

Divisions must heal
be aware and get ready
we are out of time

There is only Now
Now is where awareness is
Now is truth defined

Be here with us Now
There is nowhere else to go
Be liberated!

Freedom is revealed
When we all walk the path of
Comming together

The Bright Beast

*Insert Witty Title Here*
Some grim haikus that
I Give to you now, please read.
I hope you enjoy.

Desecrate their bodies,
I am spawned from hell itself,
I show no remorse.

Starving children cry,
No food, no drink. Only dust.
Bones stick out like twigs.

Sickness eats them all,
Contaminated with plague,
Burn the dead corpses.

Fallen in the dirt;
Increasing death toll rises,
one more nameless soul.

Velociraptors?
I'm much more concerned, with
the damn dirty apes!
Throwing of feces
Not just a harmless pastime
A true social scourge

Still, which one is worse:
Being covered in poo, or
Disemboweling?
