Purpose of Liberal Christianity forum

This forum is a little different than the other denomination forums. This is to provide place for all who call themselves Liberal Christians of any denomination to discuss the issues that make them liberal. As always, anyone can ask a question, but no outside debate is allowed.

OK...first question since I do not want to be a trouble maker here.

Are we talking about liberal politics, liberal church philososphies, or some combination of each?

When I first started posting on RF, I would see the thread title, but kept forgetting to look at the Forum.

I'm doing a little better in that regard these days.

I think the forum mainly pertains to liberal theology, however I find that often people with a liberal theology tend to be liberalish politically too.

Yes, it's mainly for liberal theology but those issues often cross over into issues in liberal politics as well, for example homosexuality and gay rights. So some blurring of the lines is going to be inevitable.

i guess im liberal then, being as i completely support gay rights and homosexuality

why am i liberal, because i myself am gay

how can i be a christian? a christian is a follower of christ regardless of their views on homosexuality and every other sin in the bible
