Inconsistencies in the Passion story

I would like to point out several inconsistencies in the Passion story, not to discredit the belief, but to show the gospels are not eyewitness accounts, and shouldn't be read so literally.

Inconsistency #1 The Sanhedrin meeting on the Passover

Inconsistency #2- Jesus being accused of blasphemy for claiming to be the son of God, but Judaism teaches we're all the sons of God.

Luke 22:70 Then they asked him: are you the Son of God? Jesus answered: You say so.

Luke 22:71 Hearing this they said: what further need of witnesses do we have? We have heard the blasphemy from his own mouth.

Inconsistency #3- Pilate being nice and feeling pity for Jesus. Pilate is depicted as ruthless and cold in historical accounts.

Hi Senedjem
I would like to know where Judaism says "we are all the sons of God", if you know? :)

Thanks. The points you make are interesting above. I am surprised no Christians have yet corrected you, so it must be true and the whole crucifixion and resurrection was probably a mistaking identity, more like the Life of Brian. :)

Well Onkarah I'm sure a crucifixion took place. I doubt what the gospels put forth though about why it took place. We can examine the histories of the 1st century and see that the Romans had far more reason to murder Jesus then his own people would.
