Hey, FFH......I'll probably be starting something all over again here but I Will Follow was written for Bono's mom who died when he was a teen. I've read several U2 biographies and that motive behind the song is quite common knowledge. :)

I'd post links to back up my post but you didn't believe them last time so, why bother? :p

"I Will Follow" has a definite meaning, that being U2's pledge to follow Jesus Christ, in SPITE of all the bad they see, hear and experience in this world.

Bono is pledging his UNDYING devotion to Jesus Christ, in SPITE of his mother's early/untimely death.

That's what the song, "I Will Follow," is all about.

Most, if not all, of U2's songs have Christ/Christian/religious themes/overtones to them.

I've given MORE than enough evidence to prove my point in this thread.

Like Bono said, "It's there for people who are interested".

The Christian meanings to these songs are clearly there, and can be seen and heard, for those who know the Lord, and hear his voice, and follow him.
