Gematria and hidden truth in Scripture

The languages of the Bible, Hebrew of the OT and Greek of the NT, both use characters of their respective alphabets as symbols for numbers. Each letter, and therefore, each word, phrase, or sentence has a specific numerical value. In general terms, gematria is the use of the numerical value of written words to search for hidden truth. This was initially used by Rabbis to study the Tanach. Gematria has been expanded for use in Greek, and even for other languages which do not use alphabet characters for numbers. Numerous methods have been used. One commonly used method is that of equidistant letters, in which the letters of Scripture at specific intervals are claimed to predict events. Others have shown an amazing symmetry of numbers related to Scripture with the claim that this proves the divine nature of Scripture.

I am not a Biblical scholar, and I am illiterate in Hebrew and Greek. The intricacies of gematria would never interest me. However, having been introduced to the concept that numbers related to Scripture can reveal hidden truth, and with just a basic understanding of gematria, I was inspired to use gemtria in a unique way beginning in February, 2008. Since then, in just a few separate periods of 4-6 weeks of inspiration, I have been led me to >2,000 gematria correlations which reveal hidden truth in Holy Scripture.

As I am illiterate in the languages of the Bible, in my ignorance I simply used the root word spellings according to Strong's Concordance for each word of sentences stating Biblical truth, and discovered that this method consistently confirms the truth of Scripture. The total numerical value for the sentences equals that of words directly related to the sentence. This was first found in relation to what is proclaimed in the Bible concerning Jesus.

I will show a few of the gematria findings. In each example the sentence in English will be shown with the Identifying Strong's number for each root word used, followed by the Hebrew or sometimes Greek root words, and then the numerical value for each word with the total gematria value for the sentence. Then I will show the word or words of the same gematria value which confirm the truth of the sentence. (Hebrew is written from right to left.)

Isaiah prophesied a coming Messiah: For unto us a child is born, a son is given: and the government will be on his shoulder; and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counselor, the mighty God, the everlasting Father, the Prince of Peace. Isaiah 9: 6. The root words as used in Isaiah reveal the following.

I have shown just a sample of the hundreds of similar findings. Many times, far more often than one would expect to occur by chance, I simply composed a sentence with root words and the total gematria value determined at random was that of a word in either Hebrew or Greek which was directly associated with the sentence. Why should this be so? Experts in gematria insist that only the exact spelling of each word in Scripture must be used for gematria values to be significant, and I have used only the root word spellings without consideration for the proper spelling according to corrrect grammar. A passage of Scripture to which I was led by the Spirit provides the answer.

In Zephaniah it is written: I said, Surely thou wilt fear me, thou wilt receive instruction... Therefore wait ye upon me, saith the Lord, until the day I rise up to the prey: for my determination is to gather the nations, that I may assemble the kingdoms, to pour upon them mine indignation, even all my fierce anger: for all the earth will be devoured with the fire of my jealousy. For then will I turn to the people a pure language, that all may call upon the name of the Lord, and serve him with one consent. Zephaniah 3: 7-9 This has been interpreted in various ways, but is it possible that one interpretation is that as the time of God's final judgment against sinful men approaches, He will make known a pure language of numbers so that all may be persuaded that He alone is God?

What I have shown in this brief summary is only a small sample of what has been revealed to me. Much of what has come to me confirms Biblical truth that any Christian believer would have no difficulty accepting. Other more controversial things regarding creation and end time prophecy has also been revealed through the method of gemaria to which I feel I have been guided by the Spirit. As time permits, I will submit additonal posts regarding gematria findings which have come to me.

In this post I will provide further gematria evidence regarding God's pure language of numbers. (Although each sentence is always composed of only root words, the words of the same value associated with the sentence are not always root words.)

In my initial post on this thread I showed a few gematria confirmations for what is written in Scripture concerning Jesus using the numerical value of root words in sentences that proclaim Biblical truth. In this post some addtional confirmations will be shown.

The God of Christianity is the same God, Jehovah, of the Hebrew people. Throughout the OT God is referred to as the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob: That they may believe that the Lord God of their fathers, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob, hath appeared unto thee. Exodus 4: 5. Jesus is the one God who appeared to men in the flesh.

What I profess is certain to be met with skepticism, but I believe that I have received a revelation regarding the way to prove Biblical innerancy; not simply by showing a symmetry of numerical values as others have done, but by revealing the truth hidden in the numerical value of words. This has not come about through any wisdom of my own, but only as I have been guided by the Spirit. I believe that this has occurred because the time of the end is approaching, and as the verse in Zephaniah says, "I will turn to the people a pure language, so that all may call upon the name of the Lord, and serve him with one consent." In the end all will acknowldge that there is only one Lord: And the Lord shall be king over all the earth: in that day there shall be one Lord, and his name one. Zechariah 14: 1. Gematria confirms that the name of the one Lord is Jesus.

Skepticism to what I have posted is expected. It goes without saying that it is illogical that the numerical value of words should reveal hidden truth, and especially that the numerical value of words from two different languages should have any association. In Scripture its says: But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned. 1Corinthians 2: 14.

I have shown gematria findings which are numerical values of a specific number for which the meaning was known in advance. However, randomly determined numerical values, without prior knowledge of what words might have that value reveal the truth of Scripture.

In the OT, the shedding of blood in a sacrifice was necessary to receive forgiveness. In the NT, Jesus is called the Lamb of God, the perfect sacrifice by which men receive salvation.

In Revelation, in speaking of the end time, Jesus said: He that overcometh shall inherit all things; and I will be his God, and he shall be my son. Revelation 21: 7. Is it logical, that the following sentence in Hebrew root words which restates this promise should equal the numerical value of the word in Greek as will be shown?

As before, these are just a few of the gematria findings which were discovered at random. In nearly consecutive order I came up with greater than a dozen instances of sentences consistent with what Scripture says regarding Christ's return to gather the elect which had gematria values for various spellings of words which mean "gather." Considering the range of numerical values for the sentences, and the number of values for words of that meaning, this would be expected to occur less than 1% of the time. This means that it should have taken hundreds of attempts to arrive at these values at random.

One additional random value which came to me is the following:

What I have posted thus far, which is primarilly related to scriptural truth regarding Jesus is likely viewed by most as either coincidence or manipulation of the words. What has come to me through gematria of root words in other aspects of Scripture is certain to be met with even greater skepticism. One such thing is the interpretation of the Genesis story of creation.

I have been a Christian believer since childhood. I have no doubt in God as my Creator, and Jesus as my Savior. However, as one who has received advanced education in the sciences, I believe that God used the laws of nature which He established at the beginning of the universe to create all living things, including man, through a process of evolution. Subsequent to the creation of man's body of flesh through a natural process, God supernaturally imparted a spirit into the flesh of man, thereby making man into His image. This thread is not for debate on this topic, but I will show through gematria, that this point of view is confirmed.

Christians believe that nothing existed until God created all things from nothing. Scientifically, all physical matter began with the "big bang." Although those scientists who deny God have come up with many unproven theories to eliminate the possibility of a Creator, most still agree that the universe began suddenly.

The gematria findings as shown in regard to creation have confirmed God as the Creator, and, as the Bible says, all creatures were formed of dust from the ground. One can relate "dust from the ground" to atomic elements from which all things are formed, and were created by God from nothing at the time of the "big bang." Gematria has confirmed that the laws of nature were used by God to create all living creatures, including man.

Gematria has also confirmed that man was transformed from a merely physical being into something different when he received a spirit from God. When the Bible says that God created man in His own image, it does not mean the body of flesh, but the spirit within man; for God is a spirit: God is a spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth. On these posts regarding gematria findings which serve to interpret the Genesis story of creation, I have shown only a very few of the >200 numerical correlations which came to me in only about two weeks time. Each different numerical value, including multiple values for words such as "beast," "natural or produced by nature," "transform," "likeness," and "soul/the breath of life," came to me as I was guided by the Spirit without prior knowledge of what words might be found. The astounding association of the words that were found, simply could not occur by chance.

It has been my concern for many years that the fundamentalist insistence upon a completely literal interpretation of the story of creation and the denial of scientific evidence which indicates otherwise, results in many people rejecting the Christian faith. There is no need for a conflict between faith and science. The Bible is inerrant, but it is not a book of science. Gematria confirms the truth of Scripture, but is also consistent with what God has allowed man to learn through his study of the physical world.

This is interesting stuff, brother...and is very much like the Theomatics which I have already studied a decade ago.

Did you mention which manuscripts you are referencing for the NT..i.e.majority text, westcott-hort, etc? It appears that you may be using the textus receptus, is this correct?

It would be of great help for you to directly reference the scriptures that you are using in each case.

Also, the Genesis chapter 5 lineage of Adam is listed with the same exact Hebrew 'image and likeness' words as stated in chapter 1. Thus, the text is showing that only Adam & Eve were made in the image & likeness of God; and that everyone born through Adam is in the image and likeness of fallen Adam.

If true, then this would explain why Jesus had to be born without a male father, as sin is carried through the male lineage of Adam.

It would be interesting to see how the numbers line up to Adam.

My identity is no longer secret. I not only read The Beginning and the End, I wrote it. I did not expect anyone to have read any of the five books I have written in just over two years concerning gematria, and that is why I began to post threads on this forum in order to receive feedback. What I feel has come to me from the Spirit is of a progressive nature from the first book which I have taken off the market because of many mistakes in how I used numbers, through the last one which was written after the one you mentioned, and which addresses some of the shortcomings of the others.

I know that people will be skeptical and perceive me as some deluded fool, but what I have experienced, and the magnitude of numerical correlations which have come to me in just a few brief periods of inspiration, convinces me that this is not something from my own imagination. Why should I have received a revelation? I do not have the answer to that question, as I know that I am unworthy of such authority. I can only say that circumstances in my life caused me to pray for enlightenment regarding Scripture, and when the inspiration to use gematria first came to me in Feb,. 2008, I was drawn to the words of the following verse in Daniel: ...from the first day thou didst set thine heart to understand, and to chasten thyself before thy God, thy words were heard, and I am come for thy words. Daniel 10: 12

I will continue to do what I can to let others know what I believe has come to me from the Holy Spirit, and not concern myself with how I am perceived.

You have given me too much credit for scholarship. The reason others have rejected what I have written is that in many instances I have not used the words directly from Scripture, but simply words consistent with Biblical truth taken from several passages of Scripture, or merely doctrinal concepts, as I have been guided by the Spirit.

The gematria findings associated with creation, as well as those related to other Biblical truths came to me during brief periods of inspiration during which time I would find several hundred examples in just a few weeks time. This occurrred through no pre-determined plan of study by me, but simply as thoughts came to me, often upon first awakening in the AM, or when otherwise not distracted. Between these periods of inspiration, when I attempted to come up with gematria correlations on my own, only a few were discovered.

I am certainly not a Biblical scholar, but simply someone who prayed for enlightenment regarding the truth of Scripture, so that I might convince those who have rejected the only way of salvation, that what is written in Scripture is true.

Where are the Hebrew and Greek words coming from, brother?

The Hebrew phrases that you mention seem to be ones that were merely run through a google translator...and then compared to a random Greek word.

Also, the conclusions you are going for seem to be on the bizzare fringe. Modern humans born without a spirit - and only later being given one?

This is strange to say the least and entirely unbiblical.

I can think of better ways to demonstrate that evolution never existed in homo sapiens sapiens...

As I mentioned in the initial post of this thread, I simply composed sentences in English and then "translated" them into the root words according to Strong's Concordance for verses in Scripture. The root words are identified on software I downloaded from E-Sword. Early on, in my ignorance, I thought that the root words were the actual translation in Hebrew and Greek. By the time I learned the error of my "translations" I had already found hundreds of numerical correlations. One correlation that I found was in relation to the words from John 14: 6: "I am the way and the truth and the life," in Greek root words has a value of 2368 (Jesus Christ). However, the root word I used for "the" was the masculine form with a value of 70, instead of the feminine form which should have been used, which has a value of 8. I thought that it was too much of a coincidence that the gematria value for the erroneous use of the masculine root word should equal 2368, which confirmed the truth of the sentence. I began to think that the gematria value of root words was just as significant as the value for the spelling of words according to proper grammar.

After I discovered that root words, mostly in Hebrew, but sometimes in Greek, taken from many verses used in this way confirmed what is written concerning Jesus by the numbers, 888, 1480, 2368, and 3168, I then began to compose sentences not directly from Scripture, but consistent with what the Bible says about Jesus. When this also demonstrated the same type of correlations, I then began to compose sentences consistent with what I felt was being revealed, and the correlations continued. Whereas I initially was simply attempting to arrive at the specific gematria values associated with Jesus, as I would calculate the values for each sentence I would periodically check for words of the value obtained for a portion of the sentence, and found that individual words with that same value were frequently Greek words that were either part of the sentence in Hebrew, or words directly associated with the thought of the sentence.

It was after I had found hundreds of gematria associations related to Jesus, that I was then overcome with the thoughts of using the same method of gematria, even though I knew it was not accepted by authorities in the methodology, to evaluate passages of Scripture related to end time prophecy, and later in regard to the story of creation.

This is not the forum to debate creation vs. evolution, but in my view there is no debate. God used the laws of nature, which He established, to create the physical form of man through a process of evolution. (I would suggest for anyone who has interest to read, The Language of God, by Francis Collins, who is the scientist and Christian who was in charge of the gov't sponsored Human Genome Project.)Despite the denial of a great many Christians, science has proven that physically modern man, Homo sapiens, has been in existence for >100,000 years. If the timeline in the Bible from Adam is then to be accepted, man was simply a beast like all others except for his greater intellect, until God completed the creation of man by imparting a spirit into his flesh, "breathing into his nostrils the breath of life." The same method of gematria which confirms what is written in Scripture regarding Jesus, confirms this to be true.

Now that my identity is known, I feel that I can no longer participate in this forum as I do not want others to think that the reason for my participation is to bring attention to the books I have written. I have attempted to show some of the gematria findings to get feedback, and so that others might have similar inspiration as I have had to uncover truth in Scripture. Although I do not agree with them, and they are highly subjective, it still has led you to the conclusion that Jesus Christ is Lord and Savior - of which, is the correct end result.

Regarding your theories on evolution - there are easier ways to demonstrate that modern man came from the same blueprint as that of beasts.

Simple exegesis of the Hebrew creation verbs employed in Genesis show that we came both from previously existing materials and also from something brand new.

What came to me in the way of gematria has had no effect on my faith, for I I have had no doubt that God is my Creator, and Jesus is my Savior since I was a child. My prayer for enlightenment was not for lack of faith on my part, but so that I might convince others of the truth found in Scripture. This desire for enlightenment came to me after I received a miraculous answer to prayer which provided comfort to me after a family tragedy. I realize few will be interested in what I have written, and even fewer will be inclined to accept it. If it is truly from the Holy Spirit, God will use it to fulfill His plan; and if not, it will fade away as have other erroneous claims of revelation.

Well, this is the kind of stuff that really turns off a lot of christians. Please explain to me why God would put this 'truth' in a hidden code? Wouldn't he especially want to make it clear and simple, instead of all this mumbo jimbo. God's plan isn't so hard to understand - love God and love all people.
