Islam began with supernatural visions and revelations given to muhammad by the angel gabriel sent from alah who is the only one true god. Alahs revelation through gabriel revealed the bible has been corrupted and or falseley interpreted by jesus and christians,so that the bibles christians now use are unreliable......muslims strongly reject the idea that jesus is the son of god the koran repeatedly emphasizzess that jesus is not the son of god.......the koran....... Praise belongs to god who has not taken to him a son.warn those who say god has taken to himself a son a monstrous word it is issuing out of thier mouths they say nothing but a lie....but who does greater evil than he who forges against god a lie. They are unbelievers who say god is messiah marys son ......thus the koran emphatically denies that jesus christ is the son of god.........in conclusion the christian view of jesus christ as gods literal son is considered blasphemous ....further a believer of islam does not believe that jesus christ was crucified and died on the cross.they believe alah would never permit this to happen. They therefore reject the doctrine of jesus atonement for sin on historical grounds. If jesus survied the cross and never truly died then he could not have given his life to atone for sin. They instead believe that salvation is obtained only by doing good works,called the pillars of the faith. And the predestination of alah,the only other way for a beliver of islam to be saved is to die in a holy war if this happens he is assured that he would escape hell ,where as the other way he can not know till his death whether he has aquired enough good works to be saved or whether alah has predestined him to be lost

only way to be saved is by Allah's mercy...

Your Lord hath inscribed for Himself (the rule of) mercy: verily, if any of you did evil in ignorance, and thereafter repented, and amend (his conduct), lo! He is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful (Quran 6:54)

On the authority of Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him), who said that the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) said:

When Allah decreed the Creation He pledged Himself by writing in His book which is laid down with Him: My mercy prevails over my wrath.

It was related by Muslim (also by al-Bukhari, an-Nasa'i and Ibn Majah).

Jesus is a Prophet, and his revelation was true entirely during his life time on earth then after he went to heaven many has misunderstood his message and his statues. Though, when Prophet Mohammed was asked about the previous scriptures, he said we can't say it's corrupted, and we can't say it's true. He didn't want us to judge it.

Whether it was corrupted or not, that won't change the fact that the only scripture which Allah will accept from us now is the Quran, and the only religion is Islam.

Islam: in Arabic Islam mean "Peace"

Muslim: Meaning of Muslim "One who submits his will to God" and in Islam every Prophets were Muslim. Example: in Quran, 3:54 says Jesus was Muslim. You will get this proof in Bible.

"For i have come down from heaven not to do my will but to do the will of him who sent me" [John 6:38]

Allah: Allah is the God name in Arabic. In he old Testament one of God name is Elohim. In hebrew "im" added for respect so its actually Eloh. You can write Eloh as Aloh>Alloh and its in Arabic Allah. Arabic and Hebrew is sister language. There little is difference but meaning is same.

Muslims believe only One Almighty God:

"Say He is God, One and Only; God, the Eternal, Absolute; He begetteth not, nor He begotten; And there is none like unto Him..[Quran, chapter 112]

"lo! Abraham said to his Father Azar: "Takest thou idols for gods? For I see thee and thy people in manifest error" [Quran, 6:74]

"Remember Abraham said: "O my Lord! make this city one of peace and security: and preserve me and my sons from idol worshiping"[Quran 14:35]

"And ur God is ONE GOD: there is no god but He, Most gracious, most merciful" [Quran, 2:163]

"He is the Creator of the Heavens and the earth: He has made for you pairs from among yourselves, and pairs among cattle; by this means does He multiply you: THERE IS NOTHING WHATEVER LIKE UNTO HIM, AND HE IS THE ONE THAT HEARS AND SEES ALL THINGS" [Quran, 42:11]

"Eyes cannot catch Him But He catches all eyes.." [Quran, 6:103]

"And ur God is ONE GOD: there is no god but He, Most gracious, most merciful" [Quran, 2:163]

Jesus in Islam:

1.Islam is the only non-christian faith who believe in Jesus.

2.No muslim is a muslim if he does not believe in Jesus.

3.We muslims believe that Jesus was one of the mightiest messengers of GOD.

4.We believe that he was born miraculously, without any male intervention.

5.We believe that he was the Messiah (christ)

6.We believe that he gave life to dead with God's permission.

7.We believe that he helped those born blind, and the lepers with God permission

Etc etc etc...

Bible: We muslims dont believe this whole Bible. To Muslims this Bible is a corrupt book. In Jeremiah 8:8 God says Bible was written by "into lie"

"How can you say, "We are wish, and the law of the LORD with us? But, behold, the false pen of scribes has made it into a lie" [From the RSV, jeremiah 8:8]

Bible have thousands of contradictions and Several unfulfilled prophecy. Its again prove that Bible indeed is corrupt!

"....God has told you that the people of the scripture (i.e Jews and Christians) changed their scripture and distorted it, and wrote the scripture with their own hand and said, 'it is from God,' to sell it for a little gain... [Sahih Bukhari, volume 9, book 92, Number 461]

As God Almighty says in Quran:

"Then woe to those who write the book with their own hands, and then says:"This is from GOD," to traffic with it for miserable price!- Woe to them for what their hands do write, and for the gain they make thereby" [The Quran, 2:89]

Jesus PBUH is a Prophet of God and he would never tell lie. i personally don't believe first Christians would lie either. well, no Christian would, actually. but there are enemies of God in all times and Satan's number on duty is to make people go away from God. that does not mean Bible does not contain any truth at all.

Surah Ihlas from Qur'an is said to be 1/3 of entire knowledge of Qur'an. i suggest you read it. very short and simple.

IMO English plays a role in this matter. for example we call it 'Allah' and this name does not refer to any gender therefor it does not have an opposite. but in English, the word God refers to male and it has an opposite/Goddess. we live in a reality that's fullfilled with opposites. only creator does not have an opposite. God is not a human. therefor it does not have a gender. one must be male (or female) to have a son. but God is absolute. God is the creator of duality and even concept of duality is created by it. that's why Godis not part of it let alone having an opposite in reality.

God would probably permit it to happen if it was god for humanity. it is said Jesus PBUH himself wanted to take part in a war that's supposed to happen in end times to help Mahdi PBUH and his request was accepted by God. normally one is born and then he dies. but he did not die to continue his life time in end times.

just for the record, there've been Prophets who got killed brutally by enemies of God.

according to our teachings there are basically two kinds of men. a person either wants this world or God itself. people who want to reach God obtains salvation. the rest (such as prayers, fasting....etc) are just tools to reach God. without any intention to reach God, using these pratices are unfortunately meaningless. it would be like driving a car without destination so as a result you get nowhere.

not all Muslims who die fighting goes to heaven. and you dn't really have to die during a war to reach that special level.

as i said above, it is not about 'enough good works'. it is about your love for God or this world. we are headed to whom we love more. simple that is. desire for this world keeps one closer to hell; desire to reach God keeps one closer to heaven

(( ما حدثكم أهل الكتاب فلا تصدقوهم ولا تكذبوهم، وقولوا آمنا بالله ورسله، فإن كان باطلاً لم تصدقوه، وإن كان حقاً لم تكذبوه ))

Unfortunately, i don't know how to get the official translated hadith. Try to post this hadith in our Islam DIR and some might help you out there to find the proper translation for this one. But for now, i'll try to translate it for you myself.

ما حدثكم أهل الكتاب فلا تصدقوهم ولا تكذبوهم، وقولوا آمنا بالله ورسله، فإن كان باطلاً لم تصدقوه، وإن كان حقاً لم تكذبوه

((whatever the people of the book have narrated to you so neither believe them, nor disbelieve, and just say we believed in Allah and his Apostles. That's so you don't believe it if it was false, and you don't disbelieve in it if it was true.))

When Christian are converted they say that they've found Jesus, and that they have Jesus as their personal savior; but jesus is not God. This where the muslims have a problem with christianity, and they are correct. When I was converted to the true and living God I found God, not Jesus. Well first of all many people have misconeption that Islam begins from Prophet Muhammad salalahualiwasalam,Prophet Muhammad Salalahualiwasalm is not the founder of Islam, despite its end at him (by end i mean noting more cannot be added or subtracted from teachings). Islam is the religion of all Prophets, All Prophets bring us the same message of Allah to us , its people who had divided themself.

Quran says in SURAH 3

84: Say: "We believe in Allah, and in what has been revealed to us and what was revealed to Abraham, Isma'il, Isaac, Jacob, and the Tribes,and in (the Books) given to Moses, Jesus, and the prophets, from theirLord: We make no distinction between one and another among them, and to Allahdo we bow our will (in Islam)."

And We all have Only and Only one GOD. All Prophets teaches us to obey the same one GOD. The basis message of Prophet Muhammad Salalahualiwaslam and Prophet Eisa alisalam (Jesus) is same.

You have an interesting view of the Qur'an and how it relates to the Bible. I think you may be tring to understand too much at one time. I suggest you read the Qur'an a few times by yourself. There is a deep relationship between the Qur'an and the Bible that you do not want to miss. Now, it is true that the TRUTH flowing out of the Torah and the Gospel (Bible) are eventually cut off and Satan takes over the churches in this world. And that does eventually leave the Qur'an as the source for TRUTH in this world. But the Qur'an is just as misunderstood by the Muslims as the Bible is misunderstood by the Jews and Christians.

And there you have the enmity between the two seeds. (Gen 3:15)
