now then, the fake locket harry went to get with dumbledore, does anyone know where the real one is? any takers........ well im gonna spoil and tell, do you remember in "the order of the phoenix" in the chapter called "the ancient and most nobel house of black" they were cleaning the house, and they were clearing a chest of draws (i think it was a chest of draws) and they found a gold locket that they couldnt open .......... anyone thinking what im thinking? i think that regulus black learnt about the horcruxes, found the locket, and hid it in the house, then went into hiding, got found by voldy, and killed
wow--I totally forgot about that. interresting theory!

now then, snapes ultimate betrayel ........ or was it, erm, lets look at waht happend

"severus .... please ...."

was that a cry for mercy, or an order to kill him? i think snape is on dumbledores side, i think snape dumblodere made snape agree to take the unbreakable vow at the start, and i think dumbledor made him to kill him
I know--you have to wonder--why did dumbledore trust him so much? He's not stupid...there's got to be way more to that story. I just can't beleive that dumbledore's trust was that misplaced. I really do think Snape did it on Dumbledor's orders. Maybe there'll be some kind of Obi' Wan effect where Dumbledor will be able to help Harry more from beyond the grave or something??

A huge possitive that came out of Snape doing it, is that Malfoy was able to remain "innocent" (at least as far as becoming a murderer). I have to wonder if he will turn out to be a reluctant ally of Harry and his friends, as several of you have suggested.

i think that voldy was going to kill harry in order to make his seventh horcrux, but he failed - or did he

i think harry himself could be the seventh horcrux, and i think harry will die in the next book, and i think JK will never need to write another harry potter book again
wow, wouldn't that be incredible. I could be wrong, but I really don't think Harry is a horcrux. I just don't think that's where the story is going.

I was just gonna say that:p

Very possible. I don't think D. will come back though. I knew he was gonna have to die eventually.

We are like on the same wavelength!!!!
I completly agree!
Harry is the 7th, and he will need to somehow kill V and himself at the same time.
JK already said there will be no more books after this one...this is probably why!

Lol, I hated the way that JK portrayed teenage relationships! Puh-lease! We're not THAT pathetic when it comes to dating!!!

I haven't read the new one yet, but I know my sister swears up and down that Dumbledore didn't really die, hes just faking it. Anyone else think that?

Nah, he's dead. They had a funeral for him. If she doesn't bring back Sirius, she damn well better not bring back Dumbledore. :149: Besides, if he was alive he wouldn't keep faking death. There's no reason for him to. If he isn't there, odds are the school would shut down. There's so much emphasis on how much he loved the school and would do anything to keep it going. It just wouldn't make sense for him to not be there if he was alive.

Oh I certainly hope not:( . Hasn't poor Harry been through enough in his short life?

I do have to agree with the Regulus Black theory. Makes sense. But I have to wonder if he is even dead. Sirius didn't even know for sure who killed his brother, whether it was Voldemort or one of his underlings. If that's not known, then who's to say that he hasn't been in hiding searching for the horcruxes all along? It's not like there hasn't been those who are presumably dead turn up already in these books. Perhaps he will come out of the woodwork in the 7th book to aid Harry...just speculating here.

AAAHHHH!! Keep away from me!!

Hehe, I scrolled down really quickly so I wouldn't see any of the conversation. I'm currently waiting in agony for my sister to finish reading it, but I can't wait until I get my hands on it! :)

That would explain Harry's scar and why it was hurting in the fourth book when V came back to power.

and the major transfer of power

harry got loads of voldy's powers remember, could be a side affect of him having a part of voldy's souls

but then, what about the snake, that doesnt have any special powers, except voldy has a seriously strong hold on it and its got an unnaturally long life

As much as I deplore the idea of Harry being a horcrux...besides I don't know if you can save part of your soul in a body which already has one, but there are a few other things that make you wonder. I know Dumbledore said that the scar was a remnant of the Avada Kedavra curse by Voldemort, but ...Harry can speak Parseltongue, had a link to Voldemort's mind, and let's not forget...Draco Malfoy was sent to kill Dumbledore...not Harry...which one would think that Voldemort would want dead even more than Dumbledore. ...HOWEVER...on the flip side...Voldemort himself DID attempt the Avada Kedavra curse on Harry again in the 4th book!!! The only reason it failed was the countering of the wands that both held feathers from the same phoenix. So Voldemort DID try to kill Harry...why would he want to destroy him if he is one of his horcruxes? He wouldn't. So while there are things that might lead one to believe that Harry is a horcrux...I don't really think so.

Ok, not saying I agree with the Harry being a horcrux theory, but there is a quick explanation to your question Draka, if Harry is in fact a horcrux.

Voldemort heard the prophecy but was unsure which child was going to be his downfall. He killed Harry parents and made Harry the horcrux in case Neville was the one who would bring Voldemort down, that way V would still have part of his soul alive in one of Neville's classmates, an unlikely candidate for a horcrux and so no matter what V could still come back to life.

After V figured out that it was Harry who would be his downfall, he had already created a horcrux with him, but he tries to kill him, knowing that he'll still have 5 other horcruxes, PLUS the part of his soul still in his body to keep him alive, and should he kill Harry (thus getting rid of one of the six horcruxes), he'll not have to worry about every dying because the one person who was said to be able to bring him down would already be dead.

well, as dumbledore explaind in teh 6th bok, voldy was not aware of the ring being destroyed, or the diary, so is probably not aware himself that harry is (that is to say, if he is) a horcrux

Considering V. would have had to make the horcrux, if Harry was one then he must know it unless its an easy thing to do by accident? Unlikely.

However, I think the fact that V. was unaware of 2 of his horcruxes being destroyed is clear proof that Harry is NOT a horcrux since the link between Harry and V. has been shown to go both ways. If Harry was one then this mind link thing they have going shouldn't be there surely?

Fluffy, Harry was a baby when Voldemort killed his parents and he would have had to make the horcrux then because it has to be done after killing someone, therefore, he wouldn't have really been able to remember being made a horcrux, as he was so young.

As for the link going both ways, perhaps it is different with Harry (if he is a horcrux) than with the other horcruxes, because Harry is human, not an inanimate object....? Just theories on my part...

EDIT: Woah! Horrible spelling! Sorry about that. Inatimate=inanimate

Snape is loyal... it is after all the order of the PHOENIX! Dumbledore had to die in order to fight Vol at full capacity. That is why Snape only deflected Harry's spells and never tried to hurt him. He is now DEEP under cover.

The Snake is dead... along with Tom Riddle's diary.

BTW, Harry should give Kreacher a sock.

give kreacher a sock - and let him go back to bellatrix lestrange with loads of secrets and information - hmmmmmm, ok so harry has been slow on the uptake in a few situations, but hes not plain stupid:rolleyes:

which snake are you refering to? the snake in the chamber of secrest is dead yes, but not voldy's snake (the one that was on the rug in the first chapter of the forth book) thats the one he maid a horcrux:149:

I have to admit curiosity on whether Kreacher is really bound to Harry... he could be under orders from... crap, whatever Sirius' cousin's name was to make it appear that he's got to obey Harry.

I was a little dissapointed, truth be told. This one and the last one should have been the same book together, the first hundred and last hundred pages are all that seems to change, I just hope the next one is genuinely the last one and that Rowling doesn't try and milk the fans for all they are worth.

And I think it would have been very interesting if Harry did kill Malfoy, that could have been a cool twist.
