what do you guys think? Looking at the scriptures in the bible that speak of God's kingdom ruling over the earth, i believe that we're now very close to the time when he will step in.
the book of daniel describes the world powers from the time of babylon right down to our divided world of today. (Daniel 2: 31-45) at the end, God's kingdom will be set up.
there are other scriptures that describe to the times we are in now.
we are living in a time unlike any other in history, and people do wonder where we are headed.
Revelation 12:7-12 speaks of war in heaven and the devil being thrown down to the earth. he is very angry knowing he is on deathrow with a short time left to go. he is making things worse for the world.
Matthew 24 spoke of the conditions we see globaly today.
2 timothy 3:1-5 described people's attitudes in the last days.
Revelation speaks of God's war of Harmageddon.
but it also speaks of a new world where rightouesness will dwell, where death and sorrow and pain will be no more. Isaiah 35 speaks of conditions in that new earth. the bible says there will be an overflow of food, no more fear, that the meek shall inherit the earth, and that the earth shall not be brought to ruin and the list goes on. this is what i believe the world is coming to. what about you guys? What do you believe.

Matthew 24:29-35 NAB "Immediately after the tribulation of those days, the sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give its light, and the stars will fall from the sky, and the powers of the heavens will be shaken. And then the sign of the Son of Man will appear in heaven, and all the tribes of the earth will mourn, and they will see the Son of Man coming upon the clouds of heaven with power and great glory. And he will send out his angels with a trumpet blast, and they will gather his elect from the four winds, from one end of the heavens to the other. "Learn a lesson from the fig tree. When its branch becomes tender and sprouts leaves, you know that summer is near. In the same way, when you see all these things, know that he is near, at the gates. Amen, I say to you, this generation will not pass away until all these things have taken place. Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will not pass away.

Jesus thought the Armageddon was going to be with the life time of his disciples.

The faith of humanity has always been in our hands

If your so sure the Rapture is coming can I have your car? Seriously...you won't be needing it and I'll come and pick it up.

Also, you should quite your job and let someone else have it. In the end it won't matter, and money isn't anything you'll be needing soon.

Are you willing to take that belief this far?

I believe that modest efforts in the area of decent grammar, punctuation, and the use of whitespace often improve a post.

The signs that the scriptures speak of have been happening globally for over thousands of years without any interference from GOD whatsoever. The one thing that I will agree with you is that we are indeed living in a time like no other but tomorrow will also bring new circumstances as well. If you want the peace, if you need the righteousness, if you truly believe that these are the conditions that you want on this planet, set the example, live the truth and stop waiting for GOD.

The signs of the times have pointed to the 'end' before many times...we won't really know so it's just best to live each day as if it were our last day to serve God in our lives. I will not ever allow myself to get confident that it couldn't happen at the next given moment and STAY ready for the Lords return. If you look back at the times past when it seemed the world was about to be ready to recieve the Lord in His second coming each time following seemed to prove stronger in the fact. I do feel we ARE nearing the time but if it doesn't happen in my time here on earth the best I can do is live like it will be.:)

I think that the clearest indicator that Jesus' return is near is found in Revelation 3:14. The sorrowful state of Religion and The Church is addressed here...

Revelation 3
14 “And to the angel of the church of the Laodiceans[f] write,
‘These things says the Amen, the Faithful and True Witness, the Beginning of the creation of God: 15 “I know your works, that you are neither cold nor hot. I could wish you were cold or hot. 16 So then, because you are lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot,[g] I will vomit you out of My mouth. 17 Because you say, ‘I am rich, have become wealthy, and have need of nothing’—and do not know that you are wretched, miserable, poor, blind, and naked— 18 I counsel you to buy from Me gold refined in the fire, that you may be rich; and white garments, that you may be clothed, that the shame of your nakedness may not be revealed; and anoint your eyes with eye salve, that you may see. 19 As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten. Therefore be zealous and repent. 20 Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and dine with him, and he with Me. 21 To him who overcomes I will grant to sit with Me on My throne, as I also overcame and sat down with My Father on His throne.
22 “He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches.”’”
