Danmac, this is not a place for debate. Start a thread in the debate section if you want to do that. If you don't actually want to sincerely learn what PW believes... stop posting.

Hi PW. I'm not sure if you're able to reveal the answer to this question but I figured I'd give it a shot. You mentioned having spirits like Grandfather Coyote that help you and whatnot. I'm curious about what interaction is like with those spirits? How do they contact you and make their presence known?

Also, I just wanted to say that your religion is beautiful and thank you for sharing it with us :)

Dreams and visions mostly... but there are occasional real world moments.

A brief low detail example...
Insisting on showing off your fire making skill and having an unexpected rain storm appear just as you get the fire going... then finding fresh coyote prints all over the trail on the way back to the car. A great lesson in humility.

I like how the visions and dreams are enriched with real world moments. It sounds like a nice combination of experiences, very solid and personal.

One more question, though it's not really about faith. I myself am a small part Native American, but I don't know what tribe I come from. My family used to have a picture of our ancestor but it's been lost unfortunately. Without that I have no way of identifying what tribe my family descends from. Do you know of any way to find out that kind of information?

Thank you kindly!! :)

Is peyote part of this experience?

Does the concept of prophets exist in your faith PW? I know every tribe is different, but I heard in some of the Ottawa stories about prophets of the Creator who had abilities like turning bad people into animals to teach them morals.

Thank you for sharing parts of your faith with us, Painted Wolf! I have always been curious, but I cant seem to think up any good questions myself right now. I have learned some things already though.

All respectful questions answered.
tell you about particular nations and there are some details that for spiritual reasons I must keep to myself. But I will do my best to answer any question you may have.

How do you pass on knowledge if you can speak of it?

Personally i find your kind of religion to have more sense and logic than Monotheistic cultures I.e christianity...

Knowledge is passed down from elders verbally. Some types of knowledge are specifically kept by people who devote their lives to learning it and passing it down. Such as a Nations history or specific religious rituals.

It's a slow process that requires a lot of dedication.

Hello :)
What does your faith say about homosexuality? Or interracial marriage?
I am part Native American... but sadly I don't know anything about my people. I am descended from Mayans and Aztecs.

I would also like to add, that I think your religion is absolutely beautiful. It might be stereotypical, but the idea of living in teepees in the wilderness somewhere, or in a forest... sounds so beautiful. The idea that animals and plants are our brothers and sisters is something I believed for a long time. My religion says that humans are above animals, but we must show them kindness. But even that is sad for me. I don't feel superior to my cat... I feel like she is my daughter. Ugh... now I feel weird hahaha
sorry I went on and on :(
but anyways, I thank you so much for sharing your faith with us :)
oh... does it have a name?
