I don't reject any religion....I am open to hearing about any of them. It is amazing, because it opens me up to being rejected by many of them. Isn't life interesting?

What? You don't think that those who are below a 2 on the tone scale should be stripped of all civil rights? Come on, give it a chance.

Scientology and the like is my answer...I won't go on, or I'll get warned again.
That one was on David Letterman's top ten list a couple weeks ago.

10 things you don't want to hear at a 4th of July picnic, and one of them was "Let me tell you what scientology has done for me..."

what faith do i reject - satanism - simply because it doesnt fit with what i believe at all

however i will stress that i do not undermine the validty of this faith

the reason why i reject satanism is because my friend was once a satanist but changed to pagansim because he found ti shalllow wheras he now finds inner peace with pagansim

but like is said - i do not undermine the validity of the faith

how do we mean by reject by the way? i do not reject anyone who makes an equal effort to accept me - we are all guilty of not liking certain people we know, and thats only normal - but i wouldn't say there is anyone i hate and i try to avoid un-neccessary unfriendlyness

one arguement i use to defend my faith is "i believe it so it doesnt ultimately matter to me if you dont" so i would be an absolute muppit to to criticise anyone else on their beliefs - even those that i dont agree with i dont reject because if its true to them who am i to say they are wrong?

God Bless

I respect most people, but not necessarily their beliefs.

I was raised a christian, but when I grew up, I realized I didn't need someone else telling me how or what to think. And due to the smug, intolerant, "Better then thou" hypocritical attitudes of christians I knew at the time, (and know now), I rejected the whole idea of needing a religion.

I'm not picking on the christian faith, it's just the one I have personal experience with.

I have probably replied to this before; after this reply, I'll have a look see at my previous post - to see if my outlook has changed.I would say 'none' that I know of - one or two people from religions that I would have thought were a bit 'offbeam' have surprized me with their tollerance and compassion and understanding. I'm glad I've had the opportunity to get rid of prejudices.:)

Reject: to refuse to accept, consider, submit to, take for some purpose, or use .:)

Greetings!

I don't reject any religion, to each their own. What I reject is ignorance, hatred, and greed. Three things that I cannot live with.

I agree with Maize the most, all religions have some truth to them. That's why I love Rastafari, I agree most with that way of life and it's not "You can only do this!!!" Rastafari is accepting, and many many Rastas, do not follow ALL ways of JAH Ras Tafari. I love it.

Jah Bless.

I'm no communist, but they got one thing right. No organised religion. I don't think religion is a positive thing, and I strongly believe we shouldn't follow any one religion. It creates division and resentment, it's a barrier. We can achieve many positive things without the religious aspect. Some people have said to me in the past that for example Christians have done many wonderful things, charitable things, Christian organisations like the Salvation Army and Christian Aid etc. But what's the need for the religious aspect? Sure the things they do are great, but why the religious part? You give help to the poor and then expect them to convert or something? Doesn't seem right to me.

Religion gives spiritual peace and calm to many people:162: , without which they may not be able to face life or to lead a happy life during their earth existence. It has its useful function.:D

Dammit! I just fruballed you MagickIsFun! Stop making sensible comments till I've had a chance to frubal other people ;).

Seriously though, what you say is absolutely correct. It is a shame that Satanism is viewed in such a light. I think it is largely because they have a bad reputation, totally undeserved, amongst both the mainstream religions as well as the normally more tolerant pagan religions.
