The concept of fate/destiny/a divine plan

Although the idea of some master plan we're all a part of is untestable fantasy, and easily explainable in terms of the human psyche, we probably have a lot less latitude in our decisions than most people think, due to our psychology and programming.

Agreed. These are major factors in the "weaving."

I believe in life after death.

This life is a learning experience.
The design of the body exposes a fresh soul to physical reality....the creation.
All five senses, though they differ one to the other, show to you the material existence.
At the end of your days, you take with you.... what you have become.

If Heaven is a place of peace....take peace with you.
If not, you may find objection at the gate, and again at the door.

Not at all. I have made a series of concious decisions in my life that have led me to this point. I don't feel like there's something outside of my power guiding me anywhere, I do what I want.

I would say you do as your mind tells you, not what you want.

Some people of course do not have a spiritual connection. They will not get, any connection, and I suppose you are evidence to this point.

Where does that leave people that aren't spiritual?

It leaves them in an ideal position to learn and then grow if only they're smart enough to do so.

Are you in agreement with these two proposed purposes?

Most certainly, though we don't view them as "proposed" but rather as very much givens!

And indeed, IMHO only a fool would disagree with them.

Peace,

Bruce

Let me get this straight, you believe that the purpose of people having flesh and blood is to fulfill spiritual needs?

My mind says what I want it to. It's MY mind... The mind isn't a separate entity from the individual. You just have a subconscious need to have something outside of yourself telling you what to do; it makes you feel safer if something goes wrong.

Greetings!

Let me get this straight, you believe that the purpose of people having flesh and blood is to fulfill spiritual needs?

Quite so!

I quote from the Baha'i scriptures:

”O SON OF BOUNTY!
“Out of the wastes of nothingness, with the clay of My command I made thee to appear, and have ordained for thy training every atom in existence and the essence of all created things. Thus, ere thou didst issue from thy mother’s womb, I destined for thee two founts of gleaming milk, eyes to watch over thee, and hearts to love thee. Out of My loving-kindness, ’neath the shade of My mercy I nurtured thee, and guarded thee by the essence of My grace and favor. And My purpose in all this was that thou mightest attain My everlasting dominion and become worthy of My invisible bestowals….”
