I know it was an organization started by many enlightened thinkers during the scientific revolution after Galileo's ideas were turned down. It is known as an Anti Catholic Cult with a vendetta against the Vatican. There is a modern fiction book by Dan Brown called angels and Demons about the Illuminati and an attack against the Vatican. The book is fascinating and suspeneseful.

What are the Illuminati ties with Freemasonry? I have read Angels and Demons but I thought that the kind of ties that were described in this sounded more like fiction than fact and assumed the author had deviated slightly from his normally accurate account.

There are no ties or affiliation between Freemasonry and Illuminati.

With the organisations re-birth, the Illuminati infiltrated Freemasonry ranks to encourage membership on their own order and decrease the time required to become a large organisation.

Even most anti-masonic sites will state this.

i have read bits and pieces of this secret group i must admit that i am still not real familar with it, but from what i have read, they seem to be connected in all kinds of other secret groups, governments, coroprations, media and the like. that they want control of the entire globe (which seems to have lots of other groups trying for the same goal while working with these cats). if someone would have told me about such a group 10 years ago i would have thought that person was nuts, but when you look at the things going on worldwide it is kinda hard to ignore that such a group does exist. who ever they are and if the bits and pieces i have read are true even to a point, they are up to no good and are an enemy to us all.

Freemasons are a group of 'common men', while the illuminati are a group of 'elite', but they are tied together in a big 'good ole boy network.'

I have a question about Steve jackson, is he in the Illuminati, or is he sorta rebelling, because in his card games, some cards accurately depict major recent events ( http://www.cuttingedge.org/news/n1753.cfm ). How could he have known of he was not a member, and if he was, who could be that brave?

I'd like to point out that Angels and Demons is a work of fiction, and the author is very good at merging facts and fiction. I'd be extremely wary of using it as a source, myself.

VERY good at mixing facts and fiction . :) Which is what makes his books so interesting .




There have been several groups throughout history that have been called " Illuminati " , the most common being the Bavarian Illuminati . However , the fact is that they are really reptilians that rule the world .
