Hell for the Heathens : )

Hello Brothers and Sisters,

I just wanted to post a friendly reminder that those without Jesus Christ will absolutely be in hell : )

Now you cannot judge me - for you heathen embrace tolerance.
Now you cannot disagree - because really, do you know anything? (all is relative)?
Now you cannot be mad - because you should be tolerant of other points of view?

The sad thing is, not only will the non-christians be burning in hell, but they live a hypocritical life on this earth before they get there. By breaking the rules above you break the rules of post-modernism and thus enter the world of hypocrisy (though most if not all of you are already there - no entry required).

Why would I want to join a hypocritical faith based religion that says that they don't reallly know anything absolutely?

My hypocritical brothers and sisters, I hope that the God of the Universe will choose you as His child today.

Respectfully,

Viva

Viva,

Maybe you mean well, but there are many fine atheists, agnostics on this Forum who, I suspect, will be most put out by your post.

You might well have a look at the thread entitled Fear the Lord? from which, I am sure you will realize that your views are not shared by two Catholics on this forum.

I am sorry, but I can't see the relevence of post-modernism in the argument about hipocricy:-
"Postmodernism is a complicated term, or set of ideas, one that has only emerged as an area of academic study since the mid-1980s. Postmodernism is hard to define, because it is a concept that appears in a wide variety of disciplines or areas of study, including art, architecture, music, film, literature, sociology, communications, fashion, and technology. It's hard to locate it temporally or historically, because it's not clear exactly when postmodernism begins. "

Hello heathens and heathenettes,

i would just like to post a friendly reminder saying that I am a super-Christian and i hate you people

You cannot judge me - for you embrace tolerance and i, obviously, do not
you cannot disagree - because in my ocean of ignorance, i am always right (the bible says so too)
you cannot be mad - because you are more advanced than i am

not only will the non-christians be burning in hell (whilst i laugh my arse off:biglaugh: ), is that they live a hypocritical life here on earth and aren't mindless drones for the Bible.

Why would i want to join a faith that doesn't have the words, Bible, Jesus, the Lord, Matthew, John, Job, Ezekiel or Big Freakin' cross in it?

My Heathen and heathenette bro's and sis', i hope The Lord All mighty will smite you back to Timbuktu

Oy veh, what a laugh.

I love it when Christian Extremeists try to tell me what I believe,
Why would I want to join a hypocritical faith based religion that says that they don't reallly know anything absolutely?
and I especially love it when they call atheism a "religion". The "faith based" part is new to me, but the whole post is so ridiculous otherwise, that why not, you know?
Now you cannot judge me - for you heathen embrace tolerance.
I embrace everything but intolerance...which means that I most certainly CAN judge you.

Now you cannot disagree - because really, do you know anything? (all is relative)?
All is not relative. Your reasoning clashes with logical thought, and therefore I disagree.

Now you cannot be mad - because you should be tolerant of other points of view?
Not when those points of view are intolerant, and not when those points of view are presented in an agressive and nearly militant manner.

Viva,

Just a friendly reminder that Pride is mentioned as a deadly sin and Christ said to love your neighbour as yourself. You should not come onto a place like this were we respect that everyone is entitled to there own beliefs and blatantly state that you are correct and everyone else who does not accept your beliefs are wrong, when clearly you have no knowledge of there belief system.

“It is the duty of every cultured man or woman to read sympathetically the scriptures of the world. If we are to respect others' religions as we would have them respect our own, a friendly study of the world's religions is a sacred duty.” ~ Mahatma Gandhi

No. I wont get mad, Ill get glad.

Now you cannot judge me - for you heathen embrace tolerance.
But I do NOT tolerate intolerant bigots.

The sad thing is, not only will the non-christians be burning in hell, but they live a hypocritical life on this earth before they get there.
Im a hypocrite? I believe that the greek work that hypocrite comes from roughly means actor, or one who prentends. I don't pretend to be Pagan.

Why would I want to join a hypocritical faith based religion that says that they don't reallly know anything absolutely?
Why would I want to join a religion that has only a book to use for assurance, guidlines, and all that other stuff. I would much rather look to nature for signs if Im on the right path. And I get those signs.

My hypocritical brothers and sisters, I hope that the God of the Universe will choose you as His child today.
The goddess has chose me. It makes me feel great to be standing in the light of the full moon, or any moon for that matter. Actually, I feel great during the night hours. Im what Konstantinos calls 'nightkind' or 'nocturnal wiccans'.

But if I am wrong, and I do go to hell when I die. I will first visit Satan, and de-throne him. I will be the ruler of hell. And then hell will be a much better place than Heaven. I would take a TON of remodeling, but I would do it. For in when I rule hell, all the "fun" sins will be available in a very pleasant environment.

I disagree. I know much. But then again, I don't know much. I only know much in the areas that my life has taken me to.

Just to redress the balance a little and prove that Christianity does not condemn all non-Christians to hell, I'd like to quote the following from a Greek Orthodox website:

...it is to be noted, these statements speak to all humanity; "For God so loved the world ... " is not a limiting statement; God's love extends to all the world. Nor does the objective "... to reconcile to Himself all things ... " have limits; Trinitarian objectives are universal. They encourage an attitude of inclusiveness as we inquire into relationships with other religions. We are reminded that the "Spirit blows wherever it wills" (John 3:8). Peter the Apostle states that. "Truly I perceive God shows no partiality, but in every nation anyone who fears Him and does what is right is acceptable to Him" (Acts 10:34-35). St. Paul, addressing the Athenians at the Areopagus, observes that they worship an unknown God, whose name and message he came to proclaim (Acts 17:23-31).
Dialogue with non-Christian religions

The Orthodox view of dialogue with other religions is also rooted in the Church Fathers. Subsequent to the Apostolic age St. Justin Martyr, a second century apologist, makes the claim for Christianity that "Whatever things were rightly said among all men are the property of us Christians." Justin espouses the belief that both Gentiles and Jews will be saved on the basis of their piety and holiness. He states that "Christ is the first-born of God, and we have declared above all that He is the Word (Logos) of whom every race of men were partakers; and those who lived according to reason are Christian." All peoples are able to participate in the "spermatikos logos" or seed of reason: "For each man spoke well in proportion to the share he had of the spermatic word (reason disseminated among men), seeing what was related to it," because "the seed of reason (the Logos) implanted in every race of men" makes God's revelation accessible to all The pre-existence of the eternal Logos of God enables "all the races of men to participate" in God's revelation. The "seed of the Logos is innate in all the races of men and resides in all people." uniting humanity and making all "part of the Logos."

Saint John Chrysostom, in the fourth century, tells us that God is "not particular but He is the Father of all" and His providence brings the "nations" to salvation. To the Jews God gave the "written law" but to the nations He gave the "natural law," the law innate in human conscience and reason.

There is no balance to address Iacob . :) Everyone is just joking around here , other then the first poster perhaps . When you get right down to it , and go back to the orginal Greek , Hebrew and Aribic words used , it is debatible if the Bible speaks of any such place as Hell anyway .

But I would like to thank you for the nice gesture . :) And I would also have to say that if God was that way . I really don't think that I would want to go to Heaven . I mean , if I was more forgiving then God , that wouldn't say much for Him , would it ?
