Americans, what're in your wallets?

Which notes do you have?

Hello friends from over the pond!

Out of curiosity, if you open up your wallet/purse right now, which notes do you have inside?

The United States Note:

I haven't seen a hundred dollar bill in a long time. Still, they are both fiat. The real ones used to say "The United States Of America...will pay to the bearer on demand...(insert amount here)" and could be exchanged for an appropriate amount of silver or gold (depending on the denomination) at any time.

You mean like those Gold/Silver Certificates?

I heard you can redeem your Federal Reserve Note..... for another Federal Reserve Note.

Makes you wonder about the true "value" of the stuff.......

I got my drivers license and a few guitar picks, a rubber band, a book of rolling papers, and a toothpick. I don't carry much.

It was on fire when I laid down on it.
I don't carry cash. And I work at a freaking bank! LOL

I do have a really cute wallet though. And in it I have a Barnes and Noble membership card, a Books A Million membership card, Discover, a debit card, a grocery store card, a library card, health insurance cards, voter registration, DL, picture and business card from my husband, my kids' addresses, a note my son sent on some flowers to me when he was stationed in Iraq, a love letter from my husband, and that's about it.

All that and no cash. But I think the stuff is better than cash.

My wallet is full of old receipts, and business cards of professors/advisors who work at my university. Also there is my debit card, license, expired health insurance card, university ID card, high school ID card, walmart gift card, Toronto weekly bus pass, Maurices "take ten card," checks, deposit slips, one $20 bill, a flashdrive, movie tickets, expired mc donalds monopoly piece, and coins. Perhaps I should clean it out...

Done here.
I don't carry money in my wallet. However, what bills I have on hand are all Federal Reserve notes. I don't recall ever coming across a United States note in circulation, though I have found silver certificates on a few occasions.

In my wallet:

1) one condom from 1973 kept just in case I get lucky someday.

2) Some cash including a 100 dollar bill I never spend but keep only for emergencies.

3) A card with important phone numbers such as the National Adopt-a-Stripper Hotline.

4) Colorado driver's licence.

5) Communist Party membership card.

6) Instructions on how to log onto RF.

I have Korean money and postage stamps in my wallet - that ought to count for something.
