God created a perfect world and mankind messed it up.
Looking Through God's Eyes [font=Arial, Helvetica]
They say that God is everywhere protecting you and me,
They say that every move we make God Watches and He Sees.
I walked into my neighborhood to see what God had done,
To see what little Children were doing, how they were having fun.

At the first corner I saw a homeless family at a soup kitchen,
How could God be with these people, and with many others I do not mention?
I walked on and saw a little boy with no arms in a wheelchair,
How could God be so cruel, and not show this boy any love or care?

A school violence victim was next to cross my path,
How could God let this little girl fall into violence’s wrath?
Lastly was a loner reading his Bible, while other kids passed him by,
How could God not give this boy any friends, why, God, oh why?

A thought struck me, and I stopped and looked around,
For these people were not lost, they were God’s servants; they were found.
I thought back to the soup kitchen, God was giving them food and a residence,
I thought back to the handicapped boy, God was giving him peace and joy in his presence.
I thought back to the little girl, God kept her safe and sound,
I thought back to the loner, God was helping him become heaven-bound.

If I look at the bad, that’s all that I will I see,
We must look at it through God’s eyes, not through the eyes of you or me.

Perfection would be the absense of arrogance.
I may rephrase my statement. Perfection can lead to arrogance, thus ruining their
perfection and making them "not perfect" anymore.:biglaugh:

It's possible.

There is religious moral in that if anyone can see it.

Renaldo,

the pursuit of perfection often leads to arrogance. Especially, it the person is deluded enough to think that they have a shot at it. :D

Anyone who asks "How could God let all this evil exist in the world" immediately concedes the argument. Without a God, there IS NO good or evil.
I would definitely disagree. I would say we invented the concept of god to try to understand, or better teach our culturally defined standards of "good and evil."

There are no good and evil actions if there is not someone to judge them who clearly has greater authority than you. If there is not a God, the action of one person punching someone else for no reason is just some chemical reactions occuring which move the arm in a certain manner, which impacts another being, which in turn changes the physical structure of his face. It is neutral. Who are you to say that is evil?

The point is, there does not need to be some "god" to judge actions. We have society and culture to do that. And they do, and have done that since the beginning of societal structure. Since there is no god, society and our own personal judgements allow us to see the negative implications of physical violence. Who are you to say it is neutral??

Personally, I believe good and evil to be totally subjective concepts. They are completely based on culture, perceptions, experience, etc... There is no god that dictates what is right or wrong. Only men dictating, and using a fictional concept of "god" to back up their egos.

God created man and woman and gave they free will to choose. The imperfection of this world is more attributable to sin and disobedience and the fact that there is an adversary to God (Satan) that also has influence in this world and the people who inhabit it as well. 1 Peter 5:8,9 reinforces this fact. :)

And yet human sin and satan were god's creations, thus evil is still god's creation. Unless you accept that god is not omnipotent, or omniscient. But I'm sure you don't want to limit your god, that wouldn't make him much of a god would it? :D

Perhaps what you see as good is not what God see's as good. The point is to cause the person to go thru a metamorphasis. Whether God allows things to happen may be just part of the design or maybe not. Either way metamorphasis continues. Nasty things happening to people only makes it more difficult for people, but the result is in the hands of the individual.

but this still doesn't answer why there is bad in the world.... "The point is to cause the person to go thru a metamorphasis" does this mean that God is bound by some law of causality? but if he is bound by a law then he didn't create it.... which means he is no longer omnipotent.

Actually they had a choice from the very beggining. Eat from tree or don't eat from tree. Started off simple.
but who created the tree?
