Who is God of this world?

Who is God of this world? is a very odd question , It implies other worlds or the rest of the universe have other gods. There can be only one God . What we might call him is our problem and in truth does not matter.

Many people on this site try to prove their view by quoting from scripture. Often using quotes from the Old Testament. The coming of Jesus and his teachings gave us a far clearer picture of a loving God. Who is hardly recognisable as the God described in the old Testament.

Jesus, is in Hebrew, Gods salvation Yeh ho shoo ah= Y H V H salvation.
Salvation, strongs #3444; yeshua/yesh oo ah. Col 1:15 He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation. Was God born or was Yeshua? Yeshua is the "firster Adam" Untainted blood, to wash away the sins of the world.
By what God are you saved?

Who says i'm going to be saved?
I'm agnostic so I don't believe in any specific God, but I found your opinion interesting as I am also a former christian.

Actually, no i'm not, if you think about it. Remember when Jesus was tempted by satan? He offered him all the kingdom's of the world. could he realy do that if they weren't his? Jesus would have 'Whoa! Hang on the dude, they aren't your, so what you on about!?'
Now, correct me if i'm wrong, but do you beleive that there are no other 'gods' that people worship, other than the True God, YHVH?
Cos if you don't, that's saying that the god of this sysyem or world is YHVH, who according to that scrpture is blinding the minds of the unbelievers. why would he do that? bearing in mind what 2 Peter 3:9 says, him not wanting anyone to be destroyed or to perish? why would he do that to people? bling them to the gospel himself and then destroy them for being blind.

It's a fact that there are other gods, even acording to the bible. However, they are just dead idols. There's only one Almighty God, and that is what that scripture in Isaiah is saying. If you look at different translations of that verse, you'll see that 'god' is written with a capitol 'G', which identifies when it's talking about Almighty God and not an other god. And just so you can see that the bible accepts that there are other gods, think about the first commandment... you must have no other god's beside me. even God knew that there are other god's or things people would worship.
There's also, look at this scripture. 1 Corinthians 8:5,6

5For although there may be so-called gods in heaven or on earth--as indeed there are many "gods" and many "lords"-- 6yet for us there is one God, the Father, from whom are all things and for whom we exist, and one Lord, Jesus Christ, through whom are all things and through whom we exist.

and this is what i agree with. so, it's not me calling God a liar, it's just the bible that's telling me there are other god's besides God/YHVH/YHWH/Yaweh/ Jehovah. BUT, they are not alive. read acts 17:22-28

now, all that said, you may not be disputing the fact that there are other gods, in which case i'm sorry for writing all this stuff...

Arrrrrgh!!! are you doing this deliberately?? he said I am the only God! as in the Almighty God! That's all! He isn't saying there are no other god's (Note: small G). Come on guys, if you're reading this and know what i mean, back me up. I'm not disputing that YHVH is the only supreme, Almighty God, I’m just saying that there are other false god's aside from YHVH! Why would YHVH, blind the minds of the unbelievers?? Tie it in with Revelation 12:9, which tells of the devil misleading the entire inhabited world.

Dude, the bible is full of accounts of idol worship and false gods. Take Baal worship for instance. Take the ten plagues.

No, mate. We're not. I'm not anyway. They are equal. they compliment each other. The OT/Torah is in union with the NT. All the prophets of the OT pointed to Jesus, which i think you will find is in the NT.

This world is godless. In a sense, since we made it, we are the gods of it, but who would choose to rule an illusion?

We are also the destructors of it, Riven.

Jesus is the same as the father so putting them in the same category in this sense makes no sense.
