I think it's still a bit early to tell. If everyone voted right now, I'd say that Kerry would win, but then again, the Republicans haven't started really campaigning yet. There are also the debates, which should be very interesting indeed...however, it doesn't seem to me that the majority of our population really watches those, and if they do, they certainly won't understand much, especially if they already have their minds made up about who they want. That's just how things appear from my angle though.
Who do I want to win? Well Spinkles, I'll side with you on this one for now. Bush is certainly not a perfect president--he's not the greatest public speaker and his intelligence (or lack thereof) is the butt of every joke these days, but I think all that comes with the territory. At the end of the day, Bush was put into a ball-twisting situation and he was able to handle it. If the Democrats had been in office, I think we still would have gone to war--either now because the people would've been pissed that nothing was getting done to 'avenge' 9/11, or in the future because the problems with Saddam Hussein and Al-Quaida would have escalated. It's all realative, and we need to especially realize that there's no way in hell the Democrats would ever agree with anything the Republicans choose to do, even if they'd have done the same thing, because that's political suicide.
Bush is against abortion, which fits with my beliefs. The one qualm I have with him concerns his stance on gay marriage, but I'm not too worried there. To outlaw gay marriage is unconstitutional, and so even if the president is against it, it'll get evened out soon enough. That's why we have checks and balances!
