I've got Tron sitting on my pile of DVD's I need to watch (I have about twenty movies, and two television series' to watch).

When is this supposed sequel coming out? I might make a movie-viewing project out of it.

Maybe... I'll watch Tron now, and then watch Tron again just before the sequel is released!

Okay. I've just watched Tron. It's probably more memorable as a showcase of cutting-edge computer animation in the early eighties :)biglaugh:), rather than for it's characterization. Or plot. Or story-telling.

As to whether Tron needs a sequel or not... depends on how they are going to do it. If they do it as a showcase of the best that computer graphics is capable of in 2010, it would make for an interesting movie which I would go to the cinemas for. If it is going to use a mixture of real-life props and models as well as CGI... perhaps not.

The only thing I can say about the idea of a sequel is:
"Take him to the games grid and blow him away!"





and yes... all these years later, you can still hear me say this from time to time...
