If the technique became popular there would only be female babies, as a female can not provide the Y chromosome.

It would indeed reduce the gene pool if she used her own cells, and any weaknesses she was carrying in her genes would be magnified.

It would be far better to use a strangers cells.

i mean the men woman combo is already flooding the "market" why would we need more ways

wouldn't the funding be better spent trying to find a way to grow organs, i mean atleast those are in high demand, you only have 2 lungs but men have millions of spermcells

This isn't quite true, as the number of men gradually declined the demand for men would increase, meaning that men would eventually have no choice other than to live as a sex toy to multiple women.

This is of course another reason that genetic engineering can only be a GOOD thing.

I did disagree with the whole lesbian planet theory, because while sexual behaviour can be situational I don't believe sexual orientation of any gender is. But then I read this.:facepalm:

On a more serious note though (a more serious note being something related to the OP that isn't adolescent fantasy) I'm pretty sure any child born by these means would go the way of dolly the sheep. While I do support genetic research, this seems unnecessary, there are already far simpler means of creating children without sexual intercourse and growing children outside of a womb.

It isn't a clone of the parent, so the advanced aging is not a given.

Well you know what they say...The less the men, the less the wars.

But just in case anything happens...I say they be used for war and sex only. This will inhibit them from taking over our jobs and careers thus keeping them in their rightful place.

I mean who do they think they wears the pants here...manzonazis...
