I'll reply with the same reply my Mother gave me as she was dying: "If I'm allowed to, I'll come back and tell you all about it".orichalcum said:where d'ya reckon you'll all end up, based on the highly questionable and sordid lives I'm sure we all lead?
To my current understanding, neither. This incarnation of the five aggregates will disperse when I die. Hopefully the causes I am making now (in this lifetime) will cause any rebirth to be in at least as favorable circumstances as the ones I am currently enjoying.orichalcum said:where d'ya reckon you'll all end up, based on the highly questionable and sordid lives I'm sure we all lead?
I lost my mom to cancer back in 1979. She was very afraid of death. Her doctors told us that her cancer was in remission. 2 days before she was due to be released from the hospital, I was visiting her. A strange peace and come over her. She told me she had "Made her peace with God" and that she was no longer afraid to die. The next day she passed away peacefully. I'm sure when my time comes I will see her again in Heaven.michel said:I'll reply with the same reply my Mother gave me as she was dying: "If I'm allowed to, I'll come back and tell you all about it".
Sadly, I'm still waiting.....
Exactly! The dead care little if they sleep or rise again.Well, I like to think that we will all be judged by our own beliefs. If so, I'll probably just stop existing, in any form. I wouldn't mind. Why would I care if I do not exist?
