Do you really think she has any chance after quitting her job as governor? I mean, her opponents won't even have to dig for juicy material for their commercials.

There's always a chance. As has been pointed out by others, she does have a following. Also, her proponents will argue that she did not "quit," but resigned to give her better access to the lower 48 (which was difficult because of the ethics violations democrats filed every time she left the state - why'd they do that? because they were scared?).

It couldn't have been because she violated ethics rules? If I recall correctly, some of those ethics violations were filed by her fellow republicans as well (or were filed bipartisanly).

I agree though, her fan base will proclaim she moved on to a more prominent place on the national stage, vice quitting because she was hounded by behaving unethically and not being able to cover it up very well.

I heard Palin has numerous offers for speaking engagements. Someone's still interested.

Kevin Smith also pulls them in. I don't see anyone asking him to run for office. You can always rely on speaking engagements if you have a cult following.

This is akin to when William Hung got a record deal from his appearance on American Idol. Any amount and/or type of fame can be monetized in some way.

No. Because of actual ethics violations. She has a long history of corruption, misconduct and incompetence.
