Jesus showed the world what hypocrites get when he became one or did he?

In the gospels of Matthew, Mark, Luke and John, Jesus tells all via the sermon on the mount and the golden rule. And the apostle Paul, and the rest of the New Testament tells the rest.

Now when Jesus goes around telling people to their faces what is what good/bad he is judging people just like he said was something one not do. He also called people hypocrites and explained what a hypocrite was. In judging people Jesus demonstrated what a hypocrite is through word and deed. Or did he?

Some people use the pharse "he is the son of God and had the right to do so." But is that true? What do you think?

Is the Bible not a book of examples that are plainly visible to even 'babes' as even Jesus stated or is the Bible to hard for people to understand because they mistake Jesus position/standing with his actions in comparison with 'normal' humans?

I don't think telling people they're doing wrong according to God's word is "judging". I think judging is telling people they are evil or going to hell because they're doing wrong. There's a slight difference. The bible even talks about it being our responsibility to correct those who stray.

Preach the Word; be prepared in season and out of season; correct, rebuke and encourage—with great patience and careful instruction.
For the time will come when men will not put up with sound doctrine. Instead, to suit their own desires, they will gather around them a great number of teachers to say what their itching ears want to hear.
They will turn their ears away from the truth and turn aside to myths.
2 Timothy 4:2-4

t3gah, he should have been a flattering Christian, rather than a speaker of truth!

If you see a killer cut someones throat just to see him die and you say "He didn't mean to to that. It was an accident!" A good, give the benefit of any doubt to this person!
Joh 1:14 And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth.

Why not start a thread on this and list a few of your hypocracies....since this is not the thread to respond.

Alex,

Matthew 11:25, read on it's own means nothing. Taken in context with the whole of Chapter 11 ( I am no connoisseur of the Bible), I personally think that Jesus is thanking God for not 'pandering' to those who believe themselves to be wise - but directs the wisdom to the 'Babes' - the innocent, who wish to learn. As I say, I have little experience of debating the meaning of passages of the Bible; I may well be quite wrong.:)

If Jesus were not God incarnate, then he WOULD be a hypocrite. Since he is God, he is not a hypocrite.

Yes Dayv,

The Bible is replete with hypocrites and their hypocrisies. God has chosen to work through flawed men and women to show us just how incredible he is. I am thankful to be one of those hypocrites. When people point out that there are too many hypocrites in church, I suggest that we need even more and you are invited! :D

Mt 7:1 ¶ "Judge not, that you be not judged.
Lu 6:37 ¶ "Judge not, and you shall not be judged. Condemn not, and you shall not be condemned. Forgive, and you will be forgiven.
Joh 7:24 Do not judge by appearances, but judge with right judgment."
Speak truth, truth is truth. Not judgement.

A hypocrite is someone who claims to have 'life' , or they hold the keys to 'life' but they and their ideas prove to be death to us.

So Jesus could not have been a hypocrite
