Considering that God A is a 'thing' that is All Mighty, the existence of another God B will abandon the All Mightyness of God A, because God A is not All Mighty anymore, hence, there should only be one God, because God is the toppest of all the toppests.
There is more than just one god it is just that GOD does not compete in contests of "All-Mightiness". The reason that no one has replaced or dethroned or conspired a takeover against GOD in name and title is because no one wants the job.

It doesn't pay well, the hours are long, the training is too intensive, I would constantly be misunderstood, people using my name in vain, people blaming me for all of life's misfortunes, followers constantly asking me for an autograph (sign). I do not envy GOD-hell, Satan doesn't even envy GOD.

I the Lord your God am a jealous
God (Exodus 20:5)....
and perform loving kindness to thousands [of generations], to those who love Me and to those who keep My commandments. (Exodus 20:6)

Silvanus said:
He is a Jealous God; He will not
forgive your transgressions nor
your sins. If you forsake the Lord,
then He will turn and do you hurt,
and consume you...(Joshua 24:13,14
wow where did that come from? not Joshua 24:13-14
13.And I have given you a land for which you did not labor, and cities which you did not build, and you have settled in them; of the vineyards and oliveyards which you did not plant, you eat.
14. And now fear the Lord, and serve Him in sincerity and in truth; and remove the gods which your fathers served on the other side of the river and in Egypt, and serve the Lord.
of course Silvanus what you left out is the long part where it talks about the things HaShem did for the Israelites and their ancestors...and the next line you leave out...
15. And if it displeases you to serve the Lord, choose this day whom you will serve, whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the river, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land you dwell, but as for me and my household, we shall serve the Lord."
16. And the nation answered and said, "God forbid that we should forsake the Lord, to serve other gods;
looks like a reaffirmation of the covenant on the part of the Israelites to me they seemed cool w/ it...

Isaiah 42:6-8 said:
6. I am the Lord; I called you with righteousness and I will strengthen your hand; and I formed you, and I made you for a people's covenant, for a light to nations.
7. To open blind eyes, to bring prisoners out of a dungeon, those who sit in darkness out of a prison.

8. I am the Lord, that is My Name; and My glory I will not give to another, nor My praise to the graven images.
here it's talking about that G-d is the only G-d and that His power can not be given to an object (ex. graven image)

it's so much better when you fill in the blanks...

you won't be able to find an excuse for this god's insane behavior here:

...there came forth little children
out of the city, and mocked him
[Elijah]...and he cursed them
in the name of the Lord. And
there came forth two she-bears
out of the wood, and tare forty
two children of them.
2 Kings 2:23,24

Silvanus if you wish to continue this discussion on another thread that is fine but i can see this going OT
if you wish to discuss varying interpretations on the actions of HaShem in the Tanach let us do it somewhere else...

I'm in favor of multiple gods. There should be different gods for different aspects of life, and it's a shame that we ever got away from that! I think having only one god leads to obsession with that deity. Besides, the more gods, the more holidays! The Romans had many gods and I've heard they spent about half their year on holiday. Wouldn't that be great!

Ok how could God A not still be Allmighty, if there exists a God B or God C etc. that is equally Allmighty?
If God A and God B are both Allmighty, then God A must have dominance on God B, but if God A has dominance on God B, then God B is not Allmighty, because there is a God that can control God B. So, only one can be Allmighty.

What if God A and God B are, in some ultimate sense, aspects of the same all powerful deity?

Because God A cannot have dominance on God B the same time as God B has dominance on God A. Dominance to a specific God makes that specific God not Allmighty anymore, because that specific God is dominated.

But in the case of two Gods being but aspects of each other, neither God would have dominance over the other.

Then that is one God, not two, since both are just aspects of each other.
But two personae. When comparing the two which is Almighty?

I think there should be just NONE.
How do you edit the thread's title? What I wanted to say was: Can There Be More Than One God or Just One?
