Oh man please no... I just saw parts of the G8 Bush press conference - he stands up there clutching the podium, listens to an inconvenient question impatiently then scoffs and snickers before giving a totally irrelevant response as though the reporter is a complete idiot. Please get rid of him, I can't take another 4 years of this! His face ruins CNN for me! They should let the rest of the world vote as well for all the influence America has... *further grumbling and muttering*

No country is perfect, but the imperfections of the country that is a leader among countries are more visible and more loudly criticized. Be glad America has influence, Alaric! The influence of America took away influence from the Axis powers and the Soviet Union.

Then again, the rest of the world already eats our food, watches our movies, and idolizes our singers (and STILL reserves the right to criticize said culture)....why not let them vote? Tell you what--when I vote for Bush, I'll dedicate it to you.

I saw bumper sticker the other day that said, "BUSH-CHENEY '04... because there's probably a country that doesn't hate us yet!"

I thought it was funny.

Spink, I've got no problem with America, and seldom disagree much with it's policy (I supported the Iraq war); but Bush...

Righto Alaric--I knew that about you. I don't even know why I made those comments about America....they weren't really relevant.

hey...If I were American...I would...vote...I have no idea but probably not Bush...but in Australia there will be an election. I would vote for Bob Brown.

However all that is irrelevant...I'm not 18 yet

I am vothing for Cthulhu this year. I am tired of this lesser of the two evils, I am going whole hog this year. I amdead serious. I am voting for Cthulhu. I encourage you to join me.
These candidates scare me to no end.

Heh, actually I honestly have no clue who I am going to vote for. I am almost dead serious about voting for Cthulhu. GWB is a warmongering ape, and Kerry is a yellowbelly, nation betraying peice of trash. Choices choices...

Hello! The guy has 3 purple hearts!!

This is an exTREEEEMELY important election. If Bush gets reelected, it will take decades to undo the harm!

I’m voting for Kerry this year. Or maybe the more accurate statement would be I’m voting against Bush. I don’t know much about Kerry, and he mostly strikes me as an average politician. That is, he bores me. But I find myself unable to agree with Bush’s environmental policies, his deficit, and his war in Iraq. And unless it’s discovered between now and the election that Kerry is excessively fond of sex with barnyard animals – or worse, that he’s a closet divine command ethicist – I will vote for him.

George Bush on Wicca said:
"I am committed to the First Amendment principles of religious freedom, tolerance, and diversity. Whether Mormon, Methodist, Jewish, or Muslim, Americans should be able to participate in their constitutional free exercise of religion. I do not think witchcraft is a religion, and I do not think it is in any way appropriate for the U.S. military to promote it."

I'm a Wiccan. I think that answers the question of who I'm NOT voting for.

Kerry's not much better, and right now, I'm on a search for a candidate who is.

Good luck with that....

ROFLMAO. Alaric, I'm with you. I don't know if Kerry will be any better than Bush....I sort of doubt it....but I know what we have with the "cowboy" in charge and I just want to trash the tv when I see his face on it. I told my husband I may emigrate if Bush gets re-elected. His response was "If Bush gets re-elected, the only safe place may be the U.S."
