I notice that people often confuse their, there, and they're- including me on occasion.

Another annoying one: people who spell lose/losing as loose/loosing. I think more people spell this incorrectly than correctly.
When people confuse "its" and "it's", it drives me nuts.
I have to watch myself for that now, because the auto-correct in the little Safari browser on my iPod Touch "helpfully" changes "its" to "it's" automatically.

While it's true that there is no "e" in ridiculous, most people don't realize there is an invisible, silent "9" where the "e" would have been.

I will have to admit..I creeped out a bunch of people on a Christian forum when I spelled satan.."satin" repeatedly..Because that is how I thought it was spelled.
I had only seen the word "satan" spelled very few times.But I had seen the word "satin" spelled many thousands Im sure..
Finally one woman had to say something..She said every time you write that I think of a soft silky material and and its creeping me out.Another man chimed in and said "me too" ..at first I thought it a typo ..but she kept spelling it that way..
I was grateful even though I was embarrassed that they corrected me.
