Well I'm not sure where my post went about it but we saw it last night & we loved it. It was over 2 Hrs long If you read Origins then you will be disspointed with the start of the movie. They did really well considering that like most comicbook movies they had to change some things around. There were some things I didn't like but they can be help, they didn't make him out to be such a wuss this time. Well not as much anyhow. I don't want to say too much untill more come on & talk about it. I'm not sure how to do the spoiler thing. The guy who played Greed was very good & the cast was awsome. I forget his name I know he's a good actor I was worried about him playing Victor but once the movie got going it wasn't a concern. Once again they down played him having superstrenth (Which really bugs me)

Ah, a spoiler alert is just a note prior to the spoiler to let the reader know it's coming up. Usually they are a bit flashy so they catch the eye. Like so.

*** Spoiler Alert! ***

Thanks for the note, that's good to hear. :D

basicly first is shown how he first used his powers and ran away with his brother then they go into the army and you see them fighting in 3 wars
then in the vietnam war his brother goes to far and attacks its own men and they are send before a firing suad ( ye turns out bullets don't realy stop them ) so they are imprisoned.

then the colonel sets them free in return they work for him...
cool team(1 with blades 1 teleporter 1 guy who controls electronics with his mind 1 realy good shot 1 with realy strong punch and he and his brother)
kills diamond smugglers and colonel wants to know where the diamond smuggler got a chunk of adementite
they go to village and his brother gets overactive again and he decides to leave

he goes on to live with a woman for the next 6 years when the cornel stops by again and tells him the old team is getting killed of.
turns out its his brother who killed his old sqaud and the brother pretends to kill his wife
he gets mad fights his brother, loses, accapts colonels help to get stronger and has adementium poured in
turns out colonel doesn't keep his end of the deal and wolverine now escapes

wolverine gets mad and decides to visit old team members for revenge they tell him to speak to gambit and he does gambit first bit reluctant to help but he brings him to the island where his brother is hiding

on the island he finds out his wife was send as spy to him is alive and a mutant and that the colonel is building a super mutant.
he frees captive mutants and starts batteling "deathpool" when he's almost defeated his brother pitches in to help kill deathpool and together they kill it.

meanwhile xavier mentaly helps the mutants escape

colonel shoots wolverne with adementium bullets and destroys his memory (he's still alive ) the wife who betrayed him tells the colonel to keep walking forever and dies
wolverine regains conciusness and doesn't remember who she is anymore or who he is

i give it an 8 because they did a pretty good on it (unlike some other superhero movies) but they still made xavier look like a retard

I took two teenage sons and my wife today to the movie. We all loved it. We plan to go back to the movies next week for Star Trek. It's nice to watch a PG-13 movie.

I saw a new position in the titles, for Lame-ation. Never seen that before. :D

Actually it was kinda, almost not so bad. I suppose it is alot better if you're a chick. But....I think it may have been almost as good as parts of X-men 3.

There just was no pretense at a story, or a plot, or anything that might have made any of it make sense. But, apart form that, yeah it was alright.

I thought that it was LAME that Logan's wife wasn't really dead.

Wouldn't that be something you'd want to mark as a spoiler??

Anyway, went with my sisters and saw it tonight/yesterday night, since it's 1:00am now... and I liked it. I'd give it a high B at least. But what I want to see is if they make a Magneto one. I heard they were going to, and I think that would be awesome. :D

Not nearly as bad as I thought it would be. Jackman plays a great Wolverine as always (even though he is way too tall for the part), pretty action packed...particularly in the sense that they let Wolverine go loose in this film quite often, were as in the X-Men movies he was more reserved. One of the things I thought I would end up hating I ended up liking: Sabertooth. Although I still think the guy was still a bit small, I think he played a decent Creed and they did a good job of presenting him. Like Knorwood stated, once the movie got going Creed wasn't a concern.

Sadly though, this movie is seriously flawed from a fanboy perspective: WAY too many deviaitons from the original story on a lot of counts:

Biggest complaint # 1 - Deadpool. If you thought they screwed him up by just going on the previews, just wait until you get further into the movie. There's even a point where you think that the writers/director are going to correct their mistake that they made with Deadpool originally....only to find out that they actually wanted to burn this character into the ground further. Complete and utter FAIL.

Biggest Complaint #2 - Gambit (or as I like to call him, the "Venom" of the Wolverine movie). They guy who played him started off some-what decent with a Southern accent and all....only to drop that accent (literally) and any resemblance of the character halfway through his act. Like Venom in Spiderman 3, Gambit was put in their for cash purposes (I mean they whored his name in every trailer that they could get out there). It looked as though the intent of throwing Gambit in there was to maximize on such a popular character, while at the same time giving little purpose or thought, and little energy and devotion in any effort to portray this character on the big screen. Short screen time + bare minumum effort in bringing this character to life = Kentucky Fried FAIL.

Being the fan I am of the comic & considering how complex he is I think they did VERY good. Sabertooth/ Wolverine being brothers was a bit much ...... but with everything that was going on I believe it was the best & easiest to go with. Overall I am happy with it to tell his story from the comic POV would of made the movie into a 5 Hr deal. I would of sit though it but I doubt most would of.

I just watched X2 on FX last night. It is head and shoulders above Wolverine.

That's right. Wolverine is going to haunt me for eternity.

IMO are the magical words on this site. At least Wolverine was very family friendly. My kids drag me to R rated movies, so this was a nice change. Spock converted to historic biblical Christianity (just kidding). I watched x 1.5 last night.

It was utter crap. Waste of time and money.
A co-worker friend saw it opening night at a midnight showing but is willing to go with me on Tuesday. He told me not to expect to much. I have a feeling it is going to be simple Summer Blockbuster Popcorn fare.
