No., I don't believe it; i think that once again, this was an example of jesus's power, as demonstrated in terms that we could understand.:)

Being that many other gods have walked on water as well. I either have to believe them all, or disbelieve them all. Not sure yet.

Peter said to him, "Lord, if it is you, order me to come to you on the water."
So he said, "Come." Peter got out of the boat, walked on the water, and came toward Jesus.
But when he saw the strong wind he became afraid. And starting to sink, he cried out, "Lord, save me!"
Immediately Jesus reached out his hand and caught him, saying to him, "You of little faith, why did you doubt?"
Matthew 14:28-31

It's not stupid. It's a lesson in faith. Peter has faith that if Jesus commands it, he will be able to walk on water too.

At first he is successful but then he looks around at the waves and wind and wonders "what the heck am I doing? I can't walk on water!" and begins to sink. He doubted and forgot that everything was possible when you have faith in the Lord.

Despite his doubt, when he cries out "Lord, save me.", Jesus holds out his hand and brings him to safety.

It's to show the believer that even when we doubt, God is there to hold out His hand and rescue us and that anything is possible...if we just have faith.

Do I believe that Jesus literally walked on water? Well, I believe that the books of the NT are true and I believe Jesus existed so yes, I believe he did actually walk on water. Yes, I do think it was a miracle.

If you don't think it's a miracle, then you can either walk on water...and I'd need to see it to believe it since you aren't God and I'm not taking it on faith.....or you do not believe in the Bible. In which case, this discussion is over before it has even begun since we have no common ground. :)

The cake is a lie
I can walk on water, too.... if it's frozen. :D

I dunno if he did or didn't. I wasn't there, I can't know.

I DO believe Jesus walked on water! He is after all God..ALL things are possible concerning Him...as for Peter I also feel he was able to walk on the water as long as he had his eyes turned towards Jesus and when he thought about it on his way to Jesus he began to doubt and took his eyes off Jesus and began to sink....what is so hard to believe about it all??? I fully believe it as well as ALL things are possible if Jesus Christ is invloved. I believe in miricles, I've seen miricles...I will NEVER underestimate the power of God! Call me simple minded but I have to smile when I read about folks who think some of what Jesus did is just too much to believe and they will turn around and believe gossip on the faith of another less reliable individual...Go figure.:)

I believe. If I had a need to, I believe I could walk on water or at least part the water for a path on dry ground or maybe hover across.

Besides that - walking on water is theoretically possible, if I recall correctly. I don't see why not. Also, if one believes that he can change water into wine, walking on water is kinda a given :)

It's my personal belief that anyone could walk on water. So yes, I believe Jesus could.

There is no miracle in the insects that walk on water. There is no miracle in that lizzard-like animal that runs on water. Let's get Jesus down here - put him on slow motion camers, put him in a lab, examine his feet and sandlals. Let's see if we can reproduce that "miracle" that animals and insects perform as a way of life.

Even if science showed natural means to walk on water, might there not be a miracle in Jesus submitting to tests and actually appearing? I think you'd lose one, win a bigger one.

I think it is important that we look at this with a present perspective to see if this even qualifies as an impressive miracle or an act of God. Today, with the advent of boats and ships it is not necessary for us to walk on water when we can ride (in comfort and luxury)and arrive at our destination much more quickly and efficiently.

Due to resistant electrical charge no molecules ever acutally touch. The amount of resistance anything gives is fluid. Water is soft and nonsupportive only because we believe it is. If you know you can walk on water, off you go!

ok your perspective is very materialistic and relatively but Faith is not relatively for my perspectice. according to me Faith can very clearly find in the human beings when he was born. but after the speaking he is being a christian or Muslim or Jewish ok?
