Why is dish-washing such an aweful experience?

It's gross. Wet, soggy food floating around. Rinsing dishes in hot water burns. Then your hands dry out. But there are some good things, too- super clean hands when you are done.
The best thing about dishes is my kids are old enough now to do them. :D

Can't brain. Has dumb.
Because you just ate, you're full, and all you really wanna do is sit and relax for a few hours before bed. Dishes doesn't seem like an attractive option at that point.

the kitchen is the dirtyest place in the house especialy the sponges and the sink
the hands are the dirtyest place of the human body (assuming you wipe your but propperly)
saliva can contain numerous diseaces and is used when consuming food (aka it also gets on the utensils)
dishwashing products contain numarous chemicals that you want nowhere near your mouth and eyes
having to do dishes means the person your living with was to cheap to buy a dishwasher
dishes have the misterious property to make everything stick to it
as a child one often had to do it forcable form there mother/father (this creates suppressed hatered towards dishwashing)
and ofcourse washing dishes means you did not just have pizza

I hate doing dishes because of my back. I can only do a few dishes at a time because my back hurts after standing for too long.

My daughter is not old enough to do them yet and my hubby works all day so does not have to do them since I am home most of the day by myself.

Psh, if you think that's bad, try working in a college cafeteria's dishroom. Never got below 80something degrees (and usually MUCH hotter), and we were required to wear jeans and long-sleeved shirts.

That summer sucked.

I actually like washing dishes. It's sort of a Zen thing for me.

well for me it is awful because they dont make sinks and counter tops quite tall enough and i have to hunch over to get them done lol. If it wasn't for that im sure dishwashing would be a hoot.....not. That reminds me i need a dishwasher.

Done here.
Because you don't have a dishwasher;)
(Mine's called Elle, she complains a lot but she gets the job done)
:D

A friend told me once that his dishwasher was broken.

"What's wrong with it?" I asked.

"I don't know," he said. "He just lies there on the couch, watching television."

This is why dogs were invented. Just place your dirty dishes on the floor. Let in the dogs, and pick up the clean dishes half an hour later....:run:

lol we do that before we put the plates in the dishwasher. We call it a pre-wash.
