Deathwish: not using condoms

I agree that it could be dangerous, if you don't know the partner well. That is why I believe in magnanimous sex lives. :)

Surely not using a condom is a rubbery decision made by those with a deathwish?
I was rather reckless in my teens. Mostly due to rampaging PTSD leading to self-destructive behavior, but that was unconscious. The fact that my relevant sex ed consisted of "condoms don't work" also can't be forgotten.

We have a term in the poly community (which I think is kinda gross, but I didn't make it up) called "fluid bonding" (told you). The idea is that everyone within the poly group is tested, and if everyone is clean, there's no need for condoms. Of course, it should go without saying that any sex outside the group requires condoms. With polyamory, safe sex is a must, because you're not just putting yourself at risk.

It depends on the situation.

Is it a deathwish for people who have multiple partners, don't get tested regularly, and tend to sleep with sketchy people? Yes!

Is it a deathwish for people who have one partner, have been tested, and don't sleep or swap spit with anyone else? No, I don't think so.
