New Pope Is The Inquisition.

Im just wondering why someone so old would be selected. He could die of old age any day. So why bother when you know you will have to go through the selection process in a relative short time. Im also assuming the position of Pope is a stressful one, and leaves little time for rest.

You are referring to the office the Cardinal held prior to being elected Pope. It is hardly applicable today that it used to be in charge of Inquistitions.

Because he's an interim Pope. JP2 was fairly young - as Popes go - when he was elected. The guy before him didn't even last a year.

So he's just the Rebound Pope then? :p

"All non Catholic religions are deficient." Well so much for all of John Paul's hard work.
I thought the same thing. This is a bad omen of things to come.

I will make predictions now. I predict that we will see some bridges (Yes, I know, I've used it a lot. But I like the analogy) falling down soon.

I am curious as to the intent of this post. Are you implying something about this Pope in particular, are you implying something of the Roman Catholic church, are you simply stirring debate, or do you have an agenda?

If you are referring to the position that this Pope held while a Cardinal, and the history of that particular chair, then I agree with Pah - it is irrelevant.

I know a few people who thought the new pope that would be elected would be the anti-christ.
I doubt this is true, but from what I've heard, alot of American Catholics arent happy with the disicion.

Yeah, beacause John Paul was SUCH a forward thinker, only stuck in the 16th century rather than the 15th? But that is beside my point.

Doesn't almost all catholics worldwide and all options for pope believers that Cathlocism is what they believe the true way is and therefore all other religions are deficient in the Catholic view?

No one has still given any examples of messed up things THIS guy has done.

i think he is kinda sketch. but i am basing that on what i see in his eyes.
Anyone have anything pro or con that is significanttly valid?

  1. Lacking an essential quality or element: deficient in common sense.
  2. Inadequate in amount or degree; insufficient: a deficient education.
Obviously, most anyone who chooses to follow one religion over another considers other religions "deficient" to one degree or another. All other religions are missing something which your faith has, which make it special, unique, true, most valid, etc. This doesn't mean all other faiths are totally wrong about everything. The Bible itself says that all monotheistic religions at least got one thing right (James 2:19). However, in the Catholic view, Catholicism is the one religion that is totally true and authoritative.

I am implying that this Pope headed the chair of the Holly Inquisition, now called some other name.

It is rrelavant that he chaired the Inquisition and that he was the responsible one to release the Fatima Virgin's prophesy:

Last month the Pope beatified two of the three shepherd children who reported being given the secrets in a series of visions of the Virgin Mary, the mother of Jesus Christ, in 1917. Cardinal Joseph Ratzinger, responsible at the Vatican for doctrine, is scheduled to disclose the full text during a press conference tomorrow. Another cardinal, Angelo Sodano, has already said the text constituted a prophetic vision comparable to that of the holy scriptures.

It is argued that he, Ratzinger, didn't release the complete message, he didn't release a part dealing with the beings from the stars. I think it is very very relevant that he is now Pope in the Vatican.

Another reference:

In June 1985, the November 1984 interview in Jesus magazine was published in a book entitled The Ratzinger Report. Key references in the interview concerning the contents of the Third Secret had been mysteriously deleted from the book. The book was published in English, French, German and Italian and reached over 1,000,000 copies in print. Although the revelations concerning the Third Secret had been censored, the book admitted that the crisis of Faith which Father Alonso tells us is predicted in the Third Secret is already upon us, and that it encompasses the whole world.1
For more information on the Third Secret themes Cardinal Ratzinger alluded to in this interview, see the article "The Real Third Secret".

I'm well acquainted with at least a hundred cultivars of holly. Which ilex did you have in mind? I'm especially fond of the weeping form of ilex vomitoria.

Ouch...I didn't think of that...Holly Inquisition...I suppose they wheel it out instead of a thumb screw or rack at christmas...no need to postulate where the Holly might be applied for optimum effect:help:

I've always said I wanted to write a guide to landscaping for difficult neighbors.

The tops on my list to plant on the property line are large English holly cultivars (ouch!) or firethorns (pyracantha).

English hollies are great. The birds eat the berries, and the bushes shred the neighbors' rotten kids. bwa ha ha!
