If the children are not responsible for the sins of the father...

If the children are not responsible, or guilty, for the sins of the father, than why is there a continuing line of sin, originating from "Original Sin"?

"The fathers shall not be put to death for the children, neither shall the children be put to death for the fathers: every man shall be put to death for his own sin."

Obviously, a child does not bear, or suffer from, the sins of the father (or mother). Therefore, why did Adam's sons bear the punishment and guilt of his father?

Ah... the mysteries of life.

Romans 3:21 But now a righteousness from God, apart from law, has been made known, to which the Law and the Prophets testify. 22 This righteousness from God comes through faith in Jesus Christ to all who believe. There is no difference, 23 for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, 24 and are justified freely by his grace through the redemption that came by Christ Jesus.

Adam just invented sin. The rest of us are merely trying to perfect it!

Adam's sons did not suffer the punishment and guilt of Adam's sin..... what Adam caused was the fall of our nature.... we are now prone to sin, and will all eventually die.

The sin of Adam is a fact of my nature, not a personal sin that I am responsible for.
