God has given us "free agency" (i.e. free will). He tells us how we should live, how we should treat others, and how we should communicate with Him. He does not force us to obey, though. He definitely didn't sanction the atrocities communited by Hitler's regime. I can't imagine how you arrived at that conclusion about the Christian God.
No offence Katzpur but I'm not talking about you, or me. This hasn't anything to do with you, or me. Im talking about a force that wouldn't even think of using someone like you, or me. I don't mean that in a bad way but I do mean to separate us little people from the equation. Im speaking on those that are raised up for a purpose unbeknownst to the rest of us. A Pharaoh for example.
Exo 9:16 And in very deed for this cause have I raised thee up, for to shew in thee my power; and that my name may be declared throughout all the earth.
Look at how many Hebrew Yisraelites died prior to Moshe leading them out of Mitsrayim? For what purpose did the Most High allow all the deaths? Why not allow Moshe to lead them out before all the deaths?
You say that he wouldnt have sanctioned such a thing? And yet he has sanctioned many forms of genocide on various groups of peoples through out the time of man. To say that he wouldnt is just turning a blind eye to what has already occurred.
But then again I could be wrong. Your belief may not accept that which was written of in the days of old and only hold to that which your church teaches you from the NT or what have you. If this is the case I do apologize for my misunderstanding.
