"Eternal life" in "heaven" has a much different meaning to me. I don't believe that heaven is a place. To me it is an ideal, and you can bring heaven into this life or you can make it hell. Hell to me is simply experiencing the consequence of ones actions, actions that cause suffering to oneself and everyone else around them. My definition of sin is causing harm to others. My definition of love is unity. I understand that grace is not conditional. Whether heterosexual or homo, its still sexuality, it's still human nature, and you cannot supress who you are inside.cturne said:I am surprised that no one has joined in this thread in support of Dr. Khan. Well, here is some support. Why is it that when someone condems homosexuality as a sin (as it is clearly stated in the Bible), then that person is labeled as a 'homophobe', or accused of hating homosexuals? If I tell someone they are sinning, it is not to harrass that person. It is showing my love for that person, to give them the chance of eternal life in heaven. It is to show them their sin, to bring them to repentance. Repentance is the way into heaven. We are commanded by God to love everyone, but to hate sin. I can love my children, but hate what they do. If I tell my children they are sinning, I am not harassing them, nor am I hating them; I am showing my love for them, as I want them to have eternal life in heaven. I feel very sad for people who find the idea of eternal life in heavenly bliss - no sickness, cares, or trouble of any kind - so distasteful that they would rather 'grab the sunblock'. All I can do is pray for you. There is so much more to say, but it's late so I'm done for now.
Our perceptions of what is evil is not always accurate. But I see that real evil is inside the heart and inside the mind, and it is ultimately being selfish, ignorant, and lacking self-control.
