Anyone ever meet anyone famous?

At the toll booth, you get to see some actors and actress. Some musicians too.

I had Chris Benjuah, I think that's how you spell his last name, from WWF come to my lane asking me which way Manhattan was but he was heading towards Albany...lol I told him that he needed to go back South. He was very nice. He had his family in the vehicle with him.

I had Lib Tyler, Steve Tyler's daughter come to my lane a couple of times. She was coming from Albany. She is also Pretty in person.

I had Dom Delois come to my lane. Didn't realize it was him until he made the sound of, "Tun Tun Taaaaaaaaa" from his super hero act that he does.

I had Allan Cummings (Nightcrawler from X-Men)

come to my lane, and had him sign the back of my receipt paper. (Now where did that paper go?)

William Defoe

Back in fall 1993, I got to meet Chipper Jones of the Atlanta Braves. His first wife was a high school classmate of mine, and I actually went to the 5 year reunion. It was October, and he had just finished his last minor league season. The following spring training, he would blow out his knee. After missing 1994, he was runner-up in Rookie of the Year voting to Hideo Nomo, but as a consolation prize, the Braves won the World Series in 1995. :p He seemed like a really nice guy back then.

I met Patty Label once she is nice in person... and I had a friend who was working at Blockbuster when the CSI video game first came out.
Her being a movie buff and not a tv buff she had no idea who this guy standing beside her was...

Turns out the producer and William Peterson ( :woohoo: ) Where going around to different video stores to promote it.

They were there for almost an hour and she had no clue who he was ( I gave her a hard time for that one! ).

Short note.... She know watches CSI :D

Two football players that played for UT Cedric Benson and Roy Williams. They were both really polite and reserved. I meet people who are famous in martial arts from time to time but they are only famous to others in martial arts as opposed to the rest of society. Austin attracts a lot of famous actors but I never see any of them. Many of my friends have at one time or another.

Does anyone know Tootoo, the hockey player? He's the only Inuit player in the world. I know his family, and my mom is friends with with, I think, his aunt.

That's about it... ;)

You don't meet many people in Iqaluit, Nunavut.

I've met many musicians...It's kind of in the job description. I'd take up a lot of space naming them all here, but some of my favorites (mostly because they were bands I grew up listening to and almost had a heart attack from excitement upon meeting them) are:

Social Distortion-*swoons* Met them in Boston when I went in February. Interviewed them for the mag. (One of my very favorites)
Rocket From The Crypt-The very first band I ever started listening too. Met them at a bar two years ago and discussed a favorite topic of mine--B Horror movies--with the Bassist, ND. That was amazing. Also got onto the topic of U.S politics with the singer Speedo at an after party they came with us to that same night.
Marky Ramone, Jerry Only and Dez Cadena-Met them a few years back on one of their Misfits tours. Interviewed Marky and Jerry for the mag...it was AWESOME!
Jack Grisham of T.S.O.L-That was too cool. I've adored Jack and the band since I was young. Met him at a show in Montreal when I was 13. Flipped out.
Lars Freidrickson-Met him after a show this December at a bar they went to after they played. Talked music with him for nearly 2 hours...tripped over his drunken drummer who had passed out on the stair case.

I've met a few. Mostly radio personalities and fellow wrestlers. If anyone has heard of Bobby The Brain Heenan, he would likely be the biggest so far.

Haha, man, I miss back in the day when you didn't need to be press to meet the bands at shows. Talking about all the bands I've met for the mag has made me think of all the bands I met when I was younger, just because it was tons easier to get to the bands back then. When I was 16, I got wasted with Gob and Green Day in Green Day's tour bus. The guitarist from Gob tried to make out with my friend and she got all scared. I smoked a joint on Tripping Daisy's tour bus with them when I was 15 and got so messed up I passed out. When I was 15, the singer from Wizo ( a German punk band) came up to me at one of his shows and asked me if I had any coke to sell. (Strangely, that happend quite often, I apparently looked like a drug dealer when I was younger).
I pulled a teeny bopper moment at a show when I was 13 and told Jim Lindberg (the singer from Pennywise) that I wanted to marry him. I had my belly ring ripped out in the moshpit of a Rancid show once and got to go backstage because I was bleeding like crazy. Tim Armstrong (the singer) fed me beer until I couldn't feel the pain anymore. Wow, I have so many stupid stories from when I was younger and going to shows, hahaha!
I also once told No Doubt and the Vandals they had sold out because they were playing a massive arena show instead of playing in a small venue like they used to, and Gwen laughed and gave my friend and I backstage passes.

Phylicia Rashad (the wife of the Bill Cosby show) in Record Town the place I used to work right out of High School. She was interested in purchasing some classical music by Handel.

B.B. King who was driving a tour bus through the lanes when I was collecting tolls. He gave me a guitar pick.

Todd Rundgren (through the toll lanes) who denied it was him but said many people confuse him for Todd Rundgren.

mrscarrdero and I met George Clinton two years ago. The bass player from my previous band set it up so that we could meet Mr. Clinton backstage, got his autograph.

Irwin Hansen comic artist co-creator of Dondi presented me with an award my senior year in B.O.C.E.S. Commercial Art.

Let's see. I've met Chuck Norris, Bill Wallace, and I suppose My grand master Chun Sik Kim and my master Joe Bruno are now pretty famous. CS Kim is a martial arts and black belt hall of fame member, as well as tae kwon do times instructor of the year and all that jazz. He's been on countless covers of black belt magazine and others. And I train with him almost every week. :D

Richard Gere came to my high school one year when they were shooting The Mothman Prophesies here in Pa. Ummm... thats about all I can think of for now.

I met and got an autograph from Viggo Mortensen, who plays Aragorn in Lord of the Rings. He and Dominic Monaghan ( 'Merry' of LOTR ), who I also saw up close, but did not meet, were both attending a play in Edinburgh, Scotland, in which Billy Boyd ( 'Pippin' in LOTR ) was starring. Lucky me, I was also at the play ( though the play itself sucked, it was cool seeing Billy Boyd on stage:) ).

He's not really famous, but anyone who loves the 'Anne of Green Gables' movies, will know who 'Gilbert Blythe' is---I met the guy who played him ( a Jonathan Crombie ), and got his autograph many, many moons ago. He was super, duper nice.

That's about it as far as meeting people goes, for me. Though I was not able to actually meet her, I have seen Queen Elizabeth very, very close up ( have an excellent photo of her ). This also happened in Edinburgh, Scotland. It was one of those 'being in the right place, at the right time' things---very freaky, yet very cool. :)

That's it!

Ive met Pagan authors M.R. Sellars, Dorothy Morrison, and Edain McCoy. M.R. Sellars is really a great person to meet and talk to.

I wrestle for a local promotion, so I get to meet pro-wrestlers quite often. Some of them are Honky Tonk Man, Ax of Demolition, and King Kong Bundy.
