Nevertheless, water is all that a fish's life is all about. Just like the Platonic metaphor of the cave. Darkness was all that the cave people's life was about,
even after solid evidence for the existence of light.

My point exactly Ben.

realisation comes from within.

This universal rule transcends everything from the single cell lifeform to the very *perceived to be* complex.

Know thyself, you are free to chose.

We have gone through so much throughout life. So many changes that I wonder if it's productive to know who we are.
Or if it's ever possible. What's the meaning of knowing thyself, by the way?

Know yourself...

ok,speaking *personally*(about me) in words I hope you do find association with,in it's simplest form, the reason for your birth.

As we are all essentially decendants of the same stock & partakers of the same nature, according to circumstances(I freeze while you bake due to climate) & dependant upon our ability to uptake & impart light(or knowledge).

(1) accept nothing at face value & see for yourself.

(2)take the long deep intrinsic stare within(aka stare into the abyss)

(3)make a plumbline...my own personal being Socratic reductionism(Xenathon Socrates) aka logic(examine all the facts, disregard the impossible then what you are left with,no matter how improbable,is *the truth*(to be tested).

(4)Jump into the Abyss(once you have examined all angles)...the 4 cornerstones of ALL philosophy are good for dropping in gently...who am I,why am I here, where am I from, where am I going too......

(5) apply plumbline to see which truths can allign to greater truths(or not) which in turn can allign with even greater & greater truths(or not,as the case may be)....climb out of abyss by way of Jacob's ladder...use the 9 spheres or alternate realities, aided by the 4 fires of life to guide your way.

You check all the boxes,I would be delighted to assist you in any way possible.

Treat anything you meet on the way *on the level*,respect them *as beings of greater duration* ,approach all in love(Apex predator love works best for me,you maybe different?travel all you can, then try to bring as much consciousness with you as you can muster.)

It is all good.

:foot:

Eh,I don't do drugs, hardly drink & hardly ever have sex being *happily married*,dunno if these are factors?

To climb out of the abyss by way of Jacob's ladder is like to climb out of our own mind, thoughts and anxieties.

Most precisely yes Ben,a good analogy!

use yourself to overcome your *programming* since birth,to accept stereotypes without question, peer group pressure, any other external pressures or *addictions*.To recognise these for what they are(identify) & treat yourself accordingly,in love.

Addiction process being similar to virtue process, just upward swirls & downward spirals.

I got over my addiction to violence some time ago,one of the *earlier*ones.

Were you of the bully type of guy? Here in Israel, we have no choice but to behave thus. "With the Romans, do as the Romans do."

From my understanding of why the state Israel was created, borne of violence & iniquity,it is easy to see why your guy's are *addicted to violence* to as much an extent as everyone else,if not more?

The City of Prague is a good example of why Israel was neccessary, well the best I have experienced in this lifespan.I was visited while I was there, seen by a witness too.

I don't think you are addicted to violence personally, though I may be wrong.

My oldest son knows that when you start fighting at school you can end up fighting every day, which is not freedom.Freedom being the only thing we should hold sacred & spill our blood for when the occasion demands after all avenues of negotiation have been exhausted.

I agree with you 101 percent. That's how we behave here in Israel. For example, talking about Gaza, when we decide to strike back or make an incursion into the city, it's because we can no longer suffer the daily missiles thrown at our neighbohoods.

We the Dennistonians felt the same about the Carentyne Goucho on our Eastern Front, whom the Dennistoun Powery took care of,and the Royston Shamrock whom the Dennistoun Monks fought on our northern borders. The Duke St Mob took care of the Parkheid Wee Men,the Galagate Madsqa'd,the Baltic Fleet, the visiting Brigton & Calton Gangs in the south.

I fought in the west sometimes, around the Necropolis against the Toonheid Mob,although my close friends & I were like the your Mossad.

The biggest gang of all were Strathclyde Police, just they were too portly to catch us,usually.

Meh,it's a tough life trying to get an education in these circumstances,I stay in a nicer neighbourhood now,2 doors along from the top boy in the toonheid mob,a former arch enemy.

Same rules apply on a different scale, probably no answer?

Prague made me a wee bit sick for all it's splendour.

Stay safe,

That's what we spend most of our lives trying: To stay safe. The other day I had to
go to Hebron and suddenly we had to stoop down to the floor of the bus to escape
the Arabic stones, just in front of the Caves of Machpelah. It's amazing!

I've had some bad experiences myself on Public transport, bus stoning probably goes on in every decent sized city?

Usually the police would break it up,count a few ribs & maybe crack a few skulls.Unless it was on the way to a football match,in which case we would all pile off for a scrap.

In Glasgow it is usually the wee guy's who *start* a fight, then they run around the corner to where their big guy's are waiting. It is really tricky as there are so many guns at your place, even the police are armed.

I have never been to the USA as I would be shot pretty quickly as I am unaware of the etiquette.

I take it you are all trained to bend over the seat & put your hands on the floor or over your head as close to the floor as possible?

Just sounds like wee guys, disaffected youth?Hammer the parents, get them evicted from their council houses.

In truth I have only left Europe once, that was for my honeymoon in Mexico where I could have been shot easily twice during the 10 days I was there.

In Crete I played football against some American Soldiers at the *listening base* there. After the *game*(youch!*) armed guards,in full combat uniform, tin helmits,*Big Arnie* submachine guns carrying thousands of bullets in big bandoliers around them *escorted* us from the place at gunpoint.

I haven't been,I must confess it is just a bad vibe I get which probably is in ignorance given all the nice Americans I meet online. There are always more good folk than bad in any community, just the good people get a bum rap from the baddies.

I promised myself I would not leave Europe again after Mexico, which is maybe wrong?

Never say "never again" to anything you have done in the past. Life is like a circle.
Things have a way to repeat themselves.

When Jacob thought he was about to die, he invited all his sons unto himself at his deathbed for the last blessings. At the turn of Judah, Jacob said that the scepter would not depart from his Tribe until Shiloh came.

Christians in general assume that's a prophecy about Jesus, and I have researched about the matter, and happened to have found out that's not true.

The Tribe of Judah had grown to become the leader over all the other Tribes, and kept the monopoly to exert hegemony over them all. That's the scepter that would not depart from Judah till Shiloh came.

After the death of Solomon, Prophet Ahijah from Shiloh took his coat and went out to meet Jeroboam, who was the leader of forced labor among the Northern Tribes. As the Prophet met Jeroboam, he tore his coat in twelve parts and gave ten to Jeroboam, saying that God had decided to split the Tribes in two Kingdoms, and that ten of those Tribes would be governed by Jeroboam. That's when Shiloh came, and Judah lost the hegemony over ten of the Tribes. (I Kings 11:29-32) It's important to understand that Shiloh is not the Prophet who came from his home city
called Shiloh, but the split between the Tribes and the secession of the Ten Tribes.

Rehoboam, the King who had succeeded Solomon his father did not understand and started preparing the Country for civil war when Shemaiah, the man of God dissuaded him by making him understand that Shiloh had come. He got it and recalled the Army. (I Kings 12:21-24)

Forgive my ignorance Ben,but was this when the 10 tribes of Judah became 12 tribes?

Eh,a cubit is 10 handspans & I am thinking along those lines too, cubits, which maybe be too abstract for you.

Eh,in answer to an earlier question you made of me about energy, energy never dies it just tranfers into different forms.

It's natural state is,perhaps,in superconductor state, either superhot or supercold which is not possible within the 4 cubit's we inhabit.

Even the graveyard(death) is just a state of mind.

The wheel or circle of life is not in dispute.

No Darkwater, the opposite. That was when the 12 Tribes split and became 10 and two. I mean, 10 Tribes in the Kingdom of the North under the name of Israel. And the two Tribes, Judah and Benjamin as the Kingdom of the South under the name of Judah.

OK,so we are talking Hebrew(genesis) year of light 2369(are you ok with year of light?)

A recap of important history being:_
Abraham(father-born 1896 BC-year of light @ 2000) & family was called out of Ur(Chaldea) to inhabit the land of Canaan, which they did for 215 years.

After the battle of the 9 kings(1913BC),Abraham(& family) having having pursued & recaptured all that had been taken by the Elemites(Chedorla-omer) & slew the 4 kings.
At this time the Hyksos or Shepherd Kings were established & ruled in Egypt(year of light 2090 to 2340(or 1750 to 1500 BC),this *MIDDLE EMPIRE(egyptian)*having been formed in lower Egypt.

Jacob(Tribe of Isaac) & family were in Egypt for 215 years, commencing with Joseph as Governor1715BC,then the whole family 1706BC...then the Hyksos fell to be replaced by tyrants aka the new Empire in Lower Egypt.

If the Hyksos(or Shepherd kings) were not the tribes of Judah or Benjamin, then who were they?

The period you are quoting from is pre-exodus,of course.

Eh,I am feeling my way around this somewhat, please feel free to correct me,expand on any points or whatever.

Shalom,

DW

In pronouncing a blessing upon Judah, the dying patriarch Jacob said: "The scepter will not turn aside from Judah, neither the commander’s staff from between his feet, until Shiloh comes; and to him the obedience of the peoples will belong." (Ge 49:10) Beginning with the rule of the Judean David, power to command (the commander’s staff) and regal sovereignty (the scepter) were the possessions of the tribe of Judah. This was to continue until the coming of Shiloh, indicating that the royal line of Judah would terminate in Shiloh as the permanent heir. Similarly, before the overthrow of the kingdom of Judah, Jehovah indicated to the last Judean king, Zedekiah, that rulership would be given to one having the legal right. (Eze 21:26, 27) This would evidently be Shiloh, as the name "Shiloh" is understood to signify "He Whose It Is; He to Whom It Belongs."
In the centuries that followed, Jesus Christ is the only descendant of David to whom kingship was promised. Before the birth of Jesus, the angel Gabriel said to Mary: "Jehovah God will give him the throne of David his father, and he will rule as king over the house of Jacob forever, and there will be no end of his kingdom." (Lu 1:32, 33) Therefore, Shiloh must be Jesus Christ, "the Lion that is of the tribe of Judah."—Re 5:5; compare Isa 11:10; Ro 15:12

You've got a major problem in that Jesus (if he existed) according to Jewish laws and customs (and what else would have been applicable in the OT?) wasn't of Judah or David lineage. Lineage was only concerned with fathers, so without a human father, you had no relatives.

First of all, to insert Jesus as the one, you are assuming because the text has nothing to do with Jesus. Second, for Jesus to be a descendant of David,
he had to be from the Tribe of Judah. And to be from the Tribe of Judah, he had to be a biological son of Joseph's, who was the one from that Tribe.
Mary was from the Tribe of Levi. She was of the family of Elizabeth, a descendant of Aaron the Levite. (Luke 1:5,36) Third, Jesus never became king
over Israel or over anything al all. And last but not least, the gospels were written 50+ years after Jesus had been gone by people who never saw Jesus
and plagiarized without knowledge about things that never happened to Jesus, but only to satisfy the Christology of Paul.
