One Of Hundreds.....of Missing Links!!!

Here it is the missing link scientists have been looking for to disprove creationists.
This is amazingly comical, but for serious advocates of science ..I know,it's no laughing matter..it's science and the proof they were looking for..!!!

I am not quite sure why it is comical. It is only scientific evidence proving what we already know about evolution. There is nothing ground breaking in there. Can I just point out something which I always seem to have to do I am a creationist AND a scientist!

Tiktaalik is an amazing fossil and a wonderful example of a transitional fossil.

It is preserved beautifully, with many of the elements preserved in three dimensions. We have many of the most important parts, skull, front limbs, wrists, shoulders, neck, vertebra, ribs and even scales.

Here is the official site for Tiktaalik and has some actual science on the fishapod.
Tiktaalik roseae: The Search for Tiktaalik

Here are some of the important discoveries made about the fossil.
Such as the development of the neck. Details Of Evolutionary Transition From Fish To Land Animals Revealed
The development of limbs. The pectoral fin of Tiktaalik roseae and the origin of the tetrapod limb : Nature
The development of the skull. The cranial endoskeleton of : Tiktaalik roseae : Abstract : Nature

I could go on and on about Tiktaalik but I think this is a good start. :D

Looks like we found our ancient Mudskipper finally, but what's so hilarious about it?
I find the exaggerated claims of the scientists comical, if not a bit childish.

Don't get me wrong. Evolution is a fact as far as I'm concerned. Most scientists just have too much invested in neo-Darwinism to see things objectively.

I'm not sure, what claims about Tiktaalik are exaggerated by the scientists here?
News reporters, little versed in science may make such statements but I've yet to hear any from scientists.
Perhaps you could give an example?

You have a point. It can be just in the reporting.

That's great, so do you believe this is could be the transition point (missing link)where our fins turn into feet.

I believe in the theory of evolution... though I'm definately open to the possibility it's wrong.

The hype about the missings links proving evolution ..!!!!

Of course this doesn't "prove" evolution. It does, however, add to the extremely large pool of evidence that is the reason we have the Theory of Evolution anyway.

There was no single transition point. This fossil is one step of several that was made in making fins into feet.
(Along with several other body parts that were changing like skulls, ribs, shoulders and so on.)
The older Panderichthys has even simpler fin-legs while the younger (more modern) Acanthostega had more advanced legs with toes. (even though it couldn't walk on land yet)

I hardly see this as "comical". BTW, this is old news.

Anyway, these fossils aren't "proof" of evolution. Evolution is the scientific theory that explains them. Not the other way around. Shoot, it's not like creationism explains them does it? Just exactly how would you like to explain their existence?

Ummm...

Evolution has ALREADY been proven... This is just more evidence for those mostly religious nay-sayers like Kirk Cameron who demand fossils of "croco-ducks" and the like. It seems like you're demanding that we need to show proof of every link in the chain to prove that evolution is true, but isn't that just a little-itty-bitty bit of of a double standard considering the even more lacking proof supporting creationist theory?

As Draka said, evolution is the theory that explains this evidence the best, as well as explaining the major variance among species, as well as the diversity of species. How well does the creationist theory explain such occurrences?
