 Could someone tell me the different ways in which this four denominations (Non-conformists, Evangelicals, Quakers and Mormons) interpret the Bible? Any kind of help will be welcome!! Thanks!!:)

I've looked at this thread many times, but I'm still not sure how to answer. I mean, as a Latter-Day Saint, I can say we believe in the Bible as far as it's translated correctly, but as for interpreting it, wouldn't that be a question for specific passages?

Please explain a little further the information you'd like, and I'll do my best.

hey Mirzam-

well, i can't speak for any of the other traditions, and can't really speak for other Quakers, either! Quaker interpretation of the Bible is diverse, to put it mildly. some interpret the Bible literally, others see it a sort of spiritual guideline, while others don't pay much attention to what's written in the Bible. it depends on whom you consult. but generally, Quaker interpetation of the Bible tends to be on the liberal side.

Oh, I am DEFINITELY a non-conformist, and I only interpret the Bible correctly! :D That's my story and I'm sticking to it!!!

Actually, I am always open to being wrong. I am weak and sinful. God is not. He has given me his spirit to help understond his will, but only as I am willing.

I have been there, but where I am hardened at I cannot be wrong and the place where I am hardened in is that Jesus is Lord and I glory only in my own knowledge if him. I cannot use another person's belief but must develope in that which Jesus has established me in; which is the knowledge that he has given me through his word. It is the communion with the Word of God that is my greatest act. In this I may glory. I glory not in another man's testimony but that it may glorify Jesus, but let my glorying be in my own expereience in him.

The wisdom that is from above is first .......James 3:18.

As a former Quaker I can only echo Gracie's comments. Except perhaps to add that I REALLY like the Quakers.
