I got 30 out of 50. Hard quiz. I bet Dan Baker had a lot to do with this quiz. I love reading his work. His essay on the improbablity of the resurrection on that website is the most convincing arguement I have ever read on the subject. He use to be a preacher turned atheist.

I got 17. :biglaugh: 10 - 19: Did you get your bible knowledge from Sunday School?
Yes, yes I did. They were strangely reticent about the stonings, sex with multiple partners and gifts of foreskins.
But I still got 31 out of 50.

"0 - 9: Don't feel bad. You may be better off not knowing much about the bible."

I guess I knew what sort of score I would get, but this is ridiculous!!! (I actually scored 7)

Guess I'd better do some reading...................:help:

30 out of 50, i figured the idea was to pick the most idiotic answer, but some were just so unbelievable!

So, God has a weakness to iron eh, interesting....

This quiz is hilarious!!! Hopefully most of us will realize that about half of the questions are "loaded" and not related to the actual field of biblical interpretation.

My score: 30 - 39: Congratulations! Better informed than most Americans

Indeed, he apparently does. I think that stems from the belief that most magical being had a weakness to iron.

Judges 1:19 And the LORD was with Judah, and he took possession of the hill country, but he could not drive out the inhabitants of the plain, because they had chariots of iron.

this again goes to the my belief that whoever created this test wouldn't know a good bible commentary if it bit him in the butt!:banghead3
if you look at the entire opening chapter to the book of Judges you realize they are talking about the conquering of the land of Canaan...and it's talking about the tribe of Judah...not HaShem! Rashi's commentary: "But after they (Judah) had sinned, they were unable to drive out the inhabitants of the plain"
Often times, espeically in the prophets sections but in others as well, whole nations are refered to in the singular.

I feel really stupid...I got 18 out of 50.

Perhaps I DID get my knowlegde from just Sunday school...lol

I need to study the OT more...I'm really amazed at some of those answers.

At least I got a good laugh at myself. Thanks pah...this is the worst score I ever got in one of these tests. LOL

I never finished the test. I lost interest after I realized it was similar to many tests I took in school where the emphasis was on dates and numbers and not on content.

Hope my teachers of Religious studies don't see this. Just 36. But, of course, 30 - 39: Congratulations! Better informed than most Americans. I suppose some of my wrong answers can be attributed to the site's using erroneous English translations, but I haven't bothered to nitpick.

Those were the sorts of questions that I got right. :biglaugh: We went to different Sunday schools, didn't we?

Well, I went to one you didn't go to, but I also went to the one you (briefly) attended. Canon Warner didn't happen to mention a box of daintily wrapped foreskins in R.E. at school, either, from memory.
