Do you play computer games?

Yep, I play a hell of a lot, actually. Civilization 3 has robbed me of many hours, and SoulCalibur 2 is brilliant, as well.

Oh indeed. I play many games. WCIII was stellar, Rise of Nations was wonderful and UT2004 has eaten my soul... but I suck at it. I keep getting violated by 15 year olds.

Anyone excited for Rome: Total War to come out? I am!

The following computer games rate "awesome" or higher on the Spinkometer: Call of Duty, Medieval Total War, Star Wars X-Wing Alliance, Battlefield 1942, and the entire Age of Empires series (though I haven't played Age of Mythology).

What do you guys think was the best game ever (of it's time)? I'm leaning towards Goldeneye for Nintendo 64.

Age of Mythology sucks, don't get sucked in by the hype!

Well, maybe I'm being too hard on it...it certainly has it's good points, but you spend so much time 'appeasing your gods' that you don't have much time to actually fight anyone. Indeed, it seems to focus more on city and culture building rather than conquest. You have access to tons of mythological creatures though, which is definately cool, but most of them don't have very many hit points at all.

Mmm...I actually forgot about this little tidbit, but the scenarios are through the roof! You can actually fight the battle of Troy (follows the book very accurately), and try to save a doomed Atlantis. Between gameplay there are animated excerpts (the graphics are fabulous) and it's awesome because it's like watching a movie, only you're *in* the movie!

My ending sentiments are quite differnt from the beginning ones, but ya know...The 'death match' stuff gets kinda boring real quick, but the scenarious are so amazing that the whole game is worth it just for them!

Best game if it's time... hrm.... well, Let's have another vote for Golden Eye, then. Best game of todays time is Unreal Tournament 2004 bar none. for what it is, it is PERFECT.

Luckily Star Craft was the last game I ever played. I spent a week playing Star Craft, the whole time I was pretty much locked up in my apartment. I did not care much about sleeping regularly or eating regularly. That's when I decided to stop playing video games; it's just so addictive ...

I played Star Craft at work occasionally after that, but that was about it. I have not played any video game for many years now ...

I'm stuck on the real time stratagy games... Homeworld and Impossible Creatures. I love stratagy and getting to mash two animals together to make wierd things is just plain fun.

I also recently got into the "RPG".. Arcanum.
(I put RPG in quotes because as a player of genuine RPG's I find the lable misleading for a computer game)

Xenosaga is a good one. Lots of long cuts scenes, deep story, sci-fi with mechs. The mechs are optionable, you don't have to use them.

Deus Ex (any) is a FPS with RPG depth, no foolin'. This here is a 9/10 game series no matter where you look.

I gotta admit I love the game Lemmings....ha...I like old games...they tend to be better than newer games...but anyway there's a program you can make levels for the game, I've made 100 something levels....but not recently...recently I've had a lot of school work even on the holidays, so I don't really get all that much time to play many games.

Actually the other day I got a free version of Mat Hoffman's BMX...it came with the cereal...XD!...yup...so I was playing that for a bit the other day.

Oh and sometimes if I have nothing else to do and feel like taking a break from doing other forms of nothingness sometimes I find some games online...

I acrtually started making my own game about a year ago called Trevor and Goyle. Bit that didn't go very far, and it's much harder making games than playing them so I haven't worked on the game for about 6 months now, I rarely get a large chunk of time to just concerntrate on making my game.

Has anyone ever played 'Pharoah'? I really like that game. City building and games where you have to manage the economy are my thing I think.

I love computer games, but it's been so long since I have played one. My computer is still at school (in Florida) and I am stuck with an older one here at home (in Califorina).

My All-time fav's: Star wars: Dark Forces/ Jedi Knight series, Half-Life (including Counter-Strike), Deus Ex, Full-throttle, Red Faction, Quake, Star Wars: KOTOR, Far Cry

Can't wait to get: UT 2004, Star Wars: KOTOR 2, Star Wars Commando, Half-Life 2, Doom 3

As you can see, I love first person shooters and star wars.

Um . . . How about Front Mission 4. Mecha RPG, battles are a little slow, but fun. Over all I give it an 8 out of 10. :goodjob:

If you're looking for a DEEP story line, go buy all the Metal Gear Solids. Those will get you thinking.

Best game ever by far is No One Lives Forever. Not only is it a first-person spy/action game to rival Goldeneye, it is absolutely hilarious. I promise you will replay it just to hear the monkey conversation again.
Otherwise I play MDK 2 (also hilarious), Star Wars: KOTOR, Battlefield: 1942 and Vietnam, and Max Payne 2 (I only play it for the storyline, I swear!).
Since this is a religious forum, I would just like to mention Black and White. It's fun being a god!
