tattoos and other body art

Yup...um...
So, what's yall's opinon(s) on tattoos, piercings, and other types of body art?

I personally have nothing against it, although just like anything else, it can become an unhealthy addiction for some people.

I myself have a tattoo, of my Otherkin-self and the symbol of my faith: the cross. I designed the picture myself: http://www.guildersgallery.org/displayimage.php?album=48&pos=2

and the final product: http://www.guildersgallery.org/displayimage.php?album=63&pos=13 (I need a better picture of it, but it's hard to get a picture of your lower back by yourself XD).

I have to say that, if anything, getting the tattoo was strangely spiritual for me o_o. Rather painful, but spiritual XD.

It's the Bees Knees... I want to get an aquatic themed tatoo sometime. Not sure if it should be a manatee or a mermaid. :D

When I was fifteen I wanted to get a tatoo of an Ankh so much that I'd draw one on every morning before school. But now I'm really glad I never went through with it.

I have a butterfly tattoo on my ankle. It was actually a thumbing the nose gesture at the prim and proper educational establishment who looked down on teachers who were "different". Most of the time I forget it's there. I'd like to get another but of snoopy doing his happy dance and Psalm 149:3 (just the numbers, not the verse! :eek: ).

I suppose looking back it's a good thing i didn't get it
especially since tattoo's aren't Kosher...nor is the eye of Ra:D

I've done tempory tattoos... henna anyone? :D

I think I'd like to maybe get a small celtic knot on my upper arm or ankle. No piercings for me though. I have my ears pierced, but rarely even wear earrings.

lol yeah, I've done henna :}. I was actually recruited for a residence hall henna night >> because I'm the 'local' artist. yup

I want to eventually get Tang Soo Do in korean down one forearm, and then Moo Duk Kwan in korean down the other forearm. And eventually get my Vigil symbol on there as well.

I'd like to get a tattoo, but not a "picture" tattoo. It would have to be a design.

*nods* If I ever get another tattoo (I'm hoping I can one day), it'd be the monogram used by Vivaldi. Because Vivaldi's my man, yo.
